Today we honour the remarkable legacy of Melissa Lobegeier.
Melissa was a true force in Central Queensland, a woman who led with heart, vision, and unwavering dedication to her community. As President of the Regional Women’s Network Central Queensland, she created space for women to connect, grow, and thrive. Her leadership wasn’t just about progress; it was about people, lifting others up and ensuring no one stood alone.
As the proud owner of Brush and Comb Salon in Allenstown, Melissa built more than a business. She created a place of warmth, laughter, and trust, where conversations flowed as freely as her generosity, and every person who walked through the door felt seen.
Melissa brought colour to everything she touched. She had a love for sequins and pink and bold, not just as a style, but as a reflection of who she was: vibrant, joyful, and unapologetically bright. She was a colourful presence in every room, a light in the world who lifted the energy of those around her simply by being there.
But beyond her many achievements, Melissa’s greatest pride was her family. A devoted mother and grandmother, she poured love into every moment, leaving behind a legacy that will live on through those who knew her best. She was immensely proud of her children and of levelling up to a “Mum Ma.”
Melissa was a connector, a champion, a friend - a true “mover and shaker” whose impact will ripple through our community for years to come.
We will remember her for her kindness, her strength, her sparkle, and her ability to bring people together. She made things happen, and she made people feel like they mattered.
Her legacy is not just what she built, but how Melissa made us feel: supported, inspired, and stronger together.
With deep gratitude and heartfelt remembrance,
The RWNCQ Committee
