🐾🚁 Meet the CapRescue Supawt Crew!

We put the call out for photos of the dogs behind the CapRescue team for International Dog Day… and the response was pretty paw-some. 🐕

These are some of the four-legged friends waiting at home for our crew, engineers, paramedics, doctors and office team. 🏠

They might not be cleared to fly aboard Rescue300, but we suspect they're pretty good at boosting morale after a long day. 💙

🚁 Weekend Wrap-Up

Rescue300 was tasked three times over the weekend, travelling throughout our 350,000km2 region.

📍 Saturday evening | Moura
A 64-year-old man experiencing a medical condition was transported from Moura to Rockhampton Hospital. The patient remained in a stable condition throughout the flight.

📍 Sunday morning | Gladstone
A 38-year-old man requiring further treatment following trauma was transported from Gladstone to Rockhampton Hospital.

📍 Sunday afternoon | Bluff
Rescue300 was tasked to a homestead near Bluff after a man in his 70s reportedly sustained suspected chest injuries in a fall.
The crew landed at the property before transporting the patient to Rockhampton Hospital for further treatment.

Behind the scenes CS Energy 🚁

From training for real-world scenarios to the coordination between people with very different areas of expertise, there are plenty of parallels in keeping complex operations running safely and reliably.

CS Energy’s commitment to safety extends beyond its own operations. As a CapRescue Lift Off Partner, their support helps keep a rapid aeromedical response available across the region their people live and work in.

🙌🏻 Weekend Wrap Up 🚁

Saturday was a busy one for CapRescue, with the crew tasked four times by Queensland Health.

The day began in the early hours with a call to a single-vehicle accident south of Dysart. The task was cancelled shortly after Rescue300 became airborne.

A few hours later, Rescue300 was requested to assist at a single-vehicle rollover on the Peak Downs Highway. The patient was transported by road to Moranbah, where the crew landed nearby to support other emergency services. It was reported that one of the two occupants had sustained suspected multiple limb injuries and required further treatment.

Around midday, Rescue300 travelled to Blackwater to transfer a woman to Rockhampton Hospital for further treatment.

That evening, the crew was tasked to Moura for a man with suspected spinal injuries. Shortly after take-off, a second patient also required transport from Moura, prompting Rescue300 to return to base to reconfigure the aircraft and load additional fuel before continuing the task.

Behind a day like this is careful coordination of crews and aircraft, management of duty hours and fatigue, and strict engineering and maintenance requirements — all helping keep Rescue300 ready to respond safely around the clock
