Rockhampton parkrun - Event number 511 - 29th August 2026

This week 169 people ran, jogged and walked our Temporary course, with 1 x first timers and 9 recorded new Personal Bests.

We had visitors from - Barking parkrun (UK), Emerald, Redcliffe, Spinnaker (Gladstone), Parkville (Melb), and Shepparton parkrun down in VIC.

The following people celebrated Milestones today:

* Megan Sutherland - 25 parkruns
* Loretta Parke - 50 parkruns
* Adrian Connor, Ryan Savery and Miranda Blackford – 200 parkruns

The event was made possible by 13 volunteer Super Stars :

Ian Dunbier, Jacqui Baker, Karen Arnold, Karen Cole, John Lee, Paige Lipke, Michael Crisp, Chloe Lipke, David Lipke, Trish Kelly, Rochelle Baillie, Debby Hourston, Amanda Renee.

The construction workers are replacing the Fruit Tree loop pavers at an alarming fast pace, so hopefully we are only on our Temporary course for a few weeks more before we go back to our original course.

See you all again soon … Ian D

Hi Rockhampton parkrunners,

Just a reminder that Rockhampton parkrun is cancelled tomorrow due to pathway works.

This should be the only Saturday that we need to cancel but please keep an eye out on Facebook over the next couple of weeks in case this changes.

For those needing their parkrun fix, Kershaw Gardens and Yeppoon offer easy alternatives.

Look forward to seeing you back at the Rockhampton Botanical Gardens again next week.

Cheers Suellen🏃🏃😊

Hi Rockhampton parkrunners,

The long awaited pathway upgrades have begun at the Rockhampton Botancial Gardens.

Unfortunately, that means that this week we are unable to host our Event. This should be the only week we are affected. Please just keep an eye on our facebook over the next few weeks incase this changes.

For those of you needing you parkrun fix, Kershaw Gardens parkrun and Yeppoon parkrun are easy options.

To our wonderful volunteers who had their names down to help this weekend, I am sure Kershaw or Yeppoon would love your help.

Please pass this information onto others who are not on social media.

Look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Cheers
Suellen RD
