Recently, the Foundation approved 3 new Grant applications for Round 1 2026.

Autism Qld Rockhampton has received funding for equipment and furniture for a new classroom that they have now opened to help cope with demand for their services.

Clermont Men's Shed has received funding for concrete flooring in a new shed they are constructing.

Gracemere Men's Shed has received funding for the purchase of a 3D printer which will enhance the opportunities for the current member, and to hopefully attract younger members as well.

Our Charitable Grants program has helped so many organisations across CQ and we are looking forward to even more applications for Round 2 which closes on Sept15th.

Some fun facts now that 2025 is done and dusted.

As of December 2025, Iwasaki Foundation has funded Charitable Grants to the value of $2,830,059.90; and Tertiary Education Bursaries to the value of $1,793,194.97.

It's quite staggering really to think of what has been spent on supporting our community, especially for a Foundation that still seems to be relatively unknown to a lot of people.

So with your help in sharing these posts, we will continue to try and get our name out there.

Don't forget!! We have DGR status which means that any donation over $2.00 is tax deductible. We currently manage our own investment portfolio but with so many needy people and organisations out there that we could help, donations will assist us in doing just that by adding to what funding we already have.

So far this month, we have interviewed 6 new potential Bursary applicants for the 2026 year. This is very exciting and hopefully we will be able to support them all on their academic journey.

The Board will now deliberate on the results of the interviews and make their decision, so stay tuned.

It was an honour to put the Iwasaki Foundation logo sticker to acknowledge the Foundations contribution to washing and drying machines for the Mobi bus. This project will help provide homeless people in the area with food and hygiene dignity. Congratulations to the Shelter Collective for the amazing work they do in the CQ area.

Today was the reveal of the MOBI (Mobile Outreach Bus Initiative) which was undertaken by The Shelter Collective.
Iwasaki Foundation granted funding in 2024 of over $13,000 for the purchase of 2 washers and dryers, 2 generators, and air conditioning for the bus.
With homelessness in Rockhampton on the rise, the bus will be able to provide some dignity to the homeless by way of showers and toilets, clothes washing facilities and meals.
We are very proud to be a part of this project, and Foundation Chair Vicki Bastin-Byrne was there today for launch.
