Our largest year yet! 🎉

We’re proud to announce that 2025/26 was Global Development Group’s largest year yet.

We received $39 million towards our projects, an incredible 20% increase on our previous record year.

Behind that $39 million are tens of thousands of Australians choosing to make a difference and financially support people and communities they may never meet.

This result also reflects something else: the professionalism and dedication of our project partners, and the trust that partners, supporters and the broader sector place in Global Development Group.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed to this record year. Together, we’re helping transform lives and create lasting change in communities around the world. 🌏❤️

The images from the Nepal flash floods have been confronting and shocking.

Our Partners on the ground in Nepal are still assessing the impact of the disaster, but they are already making plans to provide urgent emergency relief to communities.

In response, Global Development Group has established a Nepal Flood Emergency Fund.

Funds raised will support our Nepal Partners to deliver life-saving emergency assistance directly to people affected

During our recent monitoring visit to Cambodia we had an opportunity to visit the Restore One Charity newly built library. A very impressive building that will ensure generations to come of Cambodians will have access to the books, resources, and quiet study space they need to learn and thrive.

Our GDG team members Joel, Brenda, David and Greg attended the Building Strong Families J1079N fundraiser on the Sunshine Coast last night.

Since 2020, this incredible project has empowered 240 families and provides a life-changing alternative to traditional residential care, helping children grow up in safe, loving and sustainable homes.

With a vision to support 500 at-risk families by 2030, the impact is only just beginning. Thank you to everyone who is helping make this vision a reality. đź’™

We’re proud to share that 19 staff, family and friends attended the J730N AusHEAL 20th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner at the Royal International Convention Centre this month.

We heard the inspiring story of the project, which strengthens healthcare at HEAL Africa Hospital through hands-on training, specialist scholarships, multidisciplinary teams and the development of local training programs.

J730N has enabled Congolese clinicians to train others, multiplying impact across the region — a legacy reflected in a doctor trained through AusHEAL who now serves his own community in the DRC.

With expansion into Ghana now underway, the impact continues to grow. It’s not too late to donate to the AusHEAL Fundraising Appeal before EOFY.
