Notification of Night Works - Ripley
Ripley Road and Fischer Road Upgrade
Stage 1: Ripley Road between Cunningham Highway and Monterea Road – Night works
STAGE 1 NORTHBOUND WORKS
From Sunday 1 March to Thursday 19 March, construction work to remove the existing median island and realign northbound traffic is required at night on Ripley Road, between the Cunningham
Highway and Monterea Road.
STAGE 1 NIGHTWORKS
Up to three weeks of nightworks are planned from Sunday 1 to Thursday 19 March, between 7pm and 5am, weather permitting.
NIGHTWORKS WILL INCLUDE:
• Minor earthworks, including demolition of the median island
• Installation of traffic barriers and line marking
• Temporary pavement widening.
WHEN WILL THESE NIGHTWORKS
TAKE PLACE?
Start 1 March 2026
Finish 19 March 2026
Time and day 7pm – 5am
Sunday to Thursday
WHAT TO EXPECT?
• Changed traffic conditions, including lane and road shoulder closures, and temporary pedestrian/cycle path diversions on Ripley Road.
• Traffic controllers and vehicles to direct traffic. Motorists may be
directed under stop/go through the work area.
• Reduced speed limit (40km/h) through work areas.
• Local access maintained for residents and businesses.
• Traffic signage advising changed conditions.
• Some noise and heavy machinery within the work area, every effort will be made to minimise disruption.
• Limited pedestrian access around the construction area.
ONGOING WORKS
From February to July 2026, earthworks, drainage installation and pavement works will take place adjacent to Ripley Road orthbound between the Cunningham Highway and Monterea Road, Ripley, to
construct the new northbound lanes. Changed traffic conditions, including road shoulder closures and traffic controllers and vehicles will be in place as required during these works. The majority of these works will take place during standard work hours (7am – 5pm Monday to Friday).
