The Melbourne RSCD has organised three three hour sessions of dancing for any dancers that may be interested in developing their dancing abilities. The classes will provide consolidation prior to Winter School. These days are always popular so don’t hesitate to sign up.

A few of our dancers attended this amazing event and of course, the Ringwood Pipe Band were playing too! They practice at the same location and time as we dance, so we often hear the pipes during our breaks between dances.

Last week, the theme was 'Dress Up as a Scottish Country Dance'. Of course, I forgot to take a photo, but the imagination was incredible. Dances represented included:

• Melbourne Cup and other horse/jockey related dances (it was
the day after Melbourne Cup)
• Domino Five
• X Marks the Scot
• Good Hearted Glasgow
• Black Black Oil
• Orchards of Co. Armagh
• Tambourine
• De’il Amang the Tailors
• Water on Leith
• Collingwood Oaks
• The Paisley Weavers
• And The Ladies Wore Red

This Wednesday and next, we'll be dancing some of these just for something different.

Congratulations to Janet and Marilyn taking home the box of chocolates.
