We are excited to announce that we are now recruiting for a new round of YDF Crew Business Trainees! 🎉

If you’re currently looking for work, feeling a little stuck, or just unsure about what your next step looks like, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for! 🙌

Our full-time, paid traineeship runs for 24 weeks and gives participants the opportunity to gain their Certificate I in Workplace Skills while getting hands-on experience and building the skills and confidence needed for the workforce.

This isn’t your typical sit in a classroom all day program either 👀 Participants will get involved in real projects, including creating community newsletters, helping plan and run events, careers expos, workshops, cultural celebrations and plenty more!

You’ll also have access to:

✨ Career advice and mentoring

Recently, we celebrated the launch of Brewing Connections, Encircle's new barista training program designed to help people gain practical skills, build confidence, and connect with their community.

The launch was made even more special as we celebrated our very first barista graduates. Participants from The Youth Development Foundation Limited played a key role in helping develop the program, laying the foundations for future success.

A heartfelt thank you to ETC - Employment and Training (ETC) for their generous support through the Community Support Fund, that helped bring this initiative to life.

💚💙💇‍♀️ 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝘁 💇‍♀️💚💙

For Amanda, Encircle has been a place of connection and belonging for the past four years. When she was recently diagnosed with cancer and began treatment, that sense of community became more important than ever.

At our Winter Warmer event, Amanda accessed a range of supports, but one moment stood out. Receiving a haircut as her hair began to grow back after chemotherapy helped her feel special, supported, and more like herself again.

Just as importantly, she spent time with familiar faces in a community that has embraced her throughout her journey.

As Amanda shared, "the staff always make me feel welcome, cared for, and connected. I don't know where I'd be without this wonderful community.”

Stories like Amanda's remind us that sometimes the smallest acts of care can make the biggest difference.

💙💚 🏠 𝗔 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 🏠💚💙

When a 75 year old woman recently connected with Encircle's Homestay service, she was living in unsafe accommodation and facing homelessness.

With the support and advocacy of our Homestay Senior Case Manager Ana, her social housing application was prepared, submitted, and prioritised.

Just one week later, she was offered a one-bedroom social housing unit.

Now living close to her doctors, friends, and support network, she has regained stability, independence, and the security of having a place to call home.

This life-changing outcome is a reminder of the power of timely support, strong advocacy, and compassionate care. Together, we're creating brighter futures, one home at a time.
