parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. White Rock parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful course and get physically active in the process. We

want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Print your barcode to bring along to the run, then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there! White Rock parkrun is a trail parkrun and as such is not suitable for prams and there is also no water on site. Proudly Supported by Ipswich City Council

This week 28 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 11 were first timers and 5 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 5 different clubs took part.

White Rock parkrun started on 4th March 2017. Since then 4,288 participants have completed 12,649 parkruns covering a total distance of 63,245 km, including 1,731 new Personal Bests. A total of 631 individuals have volunteered 3,930 times.

If you're training for an event or to improve your running come join us and add some trails to your training. It will make you stronger.

If you want a nice walk come join us and walk in nature. Our smaller event means we have plenty of space for you to walk and talk.

It's never too early to put down your name for the weeks ahead so if you've never volunteered before why not give it a go, there is no ongoing commitment just jump in and out any time you feel like it.
