🚂 Event 51 – Red Hill Rail Trail parkrun

Saturday 22 (two two / Tutu day) August 2026

27 finishers. 10 volunteers. 12 visitors to Red Hill. A sprinkling of tutus! 🩰 And a few pooches joining in for barkrun. 🐕

Event 51 was our smallest parkrun event to date, making for a lovely, relaxed morning for our volunteers — albeit a rather chilly one! 🥶

The rain ☔️didn’t dampen our spirits, and thankfully the post-parkrun coffee provided some much-needed warmth. ☕️

A huge thank you to our 10 wonderful volunteers who helped make the event happen, and congratulations to everyone who got out of bed, braved the cold and started their weekend with parkrun. We loved having you on the trail. ❤️

🎉 This Saturday's parkrun falls on the 22nd, which means it's a Tu-Tu Day! 🎉

Join in on one of parkrun's favourite traditions by wearing a tutu for your run, walk or volunteer role.

60 parkrunners/walkers finished in 60 minutes!
Okay I know there’s many parkrunners who love stats and they’ll point out that it was actually 61 parkrunners/walkers in 57:57 but close enough?
A lovely morning, no rain, and not too much mud … well compared to the last few weeks on the Red Hill Rail Trail!

From out of the mist they came to the start line with just 5 minutes to spare, setting off through cool, quiet air. Recent rain left patches of mud that tested footing and added a little adventure to the trail . Despite the slippery conditions, smiles, encouragement, and community spirit carried everyone across the finish line together.
