Those who arrived early were treated to a magnificent sunrise over the trail this morning.
We welcomed plenty of visitors for event #41🎉 including some who had travelled all the way from Townsville👏
A total of 52 finishers were supported by 12 fantastic volunteers 🙏. While the trail has dried out a little and wasn't as slippery as recent weeks, the fresh wind certainly kept our volunteers at the finish line on their toes.
Thankfully, post-parkrun coffee ☕️provided the perfect way to warm up and catch up afterwards.
This weekend also marks one year since we held our fundraiser to purchase our parkrun kit — a milestone worth celebrating as our community continues to grow.
A huge congratulations and sincere thank you to local legend David Reid, who today reached his 25 Volunteer milestone. Even more remarkably, every one of those volunteer credits has been earned at Red Hill Rail Trail parkrun. We are incredibly grateful for David's ongoing support and contribution to our event.
A special shout-out to Lee and Kate as they head north for a winter escape. In true parkrun spirit, they chose to spend their final parkrun before setting off as volunteers. We wish them safe travels and plenty of parkrun adventures along the way. You can follow their journey via Ozwold Explores:

As we move into winter, filling the roster can become a little more challenging. If you're able to help in the coming weeks, we'd love to hear from you. Getting in early gives you first pick of the volunteer roles and makes life a little easier for our Run Directors. Thank you all for joining us and making Red Hill Rail Trail parkrun such a special way to start the weekend. 🍃🍂🚶♂️🏃🏼♀️
