🚂 Red Hill Rail Trail parkrun – Event 58
🏃‍♀️

🌸 We were treated to a beautiful spring morning on the trail, with 69 finishers and 11 amazing volunteers making the most of the lovely conditions.

A few of our young guns rounded out the top three today. Great running, everyone! 👏

A huge congratulations to Salty, one of our Run Directors, who celebrated an incredible double milestone today — 250 parkruns and 50 volunteer credits! 🥳 What an achievement, Salty! And how well coordinated to have both milestones fall on the same day. Thanks for everything you do for our parkrun community!

🏃‍♀️ We know a few of our parkrunners today are participating in the Melbourne Marathon tomorrow. We wish everyone taking part all the very best of luck! Enjoy the experience and soak up the atmosphere. You've got this! 💪

All aboard for this week's volunteer call out! 🚂

With the Melbourne Marathon Festival happening on Sunday, if you're running and looking for an excuse to rest the legs on Saturday, why not volunteer at parkrun instead?

We're looking for a few legends to help fill the roster, including:

🔹 Barcode Scanner
🔹 Timekeeper (position filled ✅)
🔹 Finish Tokens Support (position filled ✅)
🔹 Turnaround Marshal (position filled ✅)
🔹 First timers welcome (position filled ✅)

No experience needed – we'll show you the ropes.

This Saturday, pull on your footy jumper, scarf or team colours and bring a splash of Grand Final spirit to Red Hill Rail Trail parkrun.

Whether your team is still in the hunt, celebrating a big win, or already counting down to next season, everyone is welcome to join us for a run, walk, volunteer or cheer from the sidelines.

Sunny morning at Red Hill Trail parkrun!

Just over 50 participants enjoyed a beautiful morning on the trails. Clear skies offered glimpses through the bush towards Western Port Bay and Phillip Island.

The cool breeze towed everyone along to the halfway point, but celebrating those PBs too early can be challenging when you still have the slow climb back to the finish!

Our post-parkrun coffee was well deserved, and I think I recognised the majority of the field, all celebrating with smiles as big as croissants.
