Our first CWA meeting for the year will be held on Tuesday 17th February 2026, from 2pm at the Ninti St CWA Rooms. All welcome to attend. Members please bring a plate to share.
Land Cookery monthly competition will be: Alice's Fancy Biscuits, Peppermint Slice, Gluten Free Magic Bean Cake, and Sultana Cake. Preserves: Microwave Strawberry Jam, Tomato Jam, Pineapple & Onion Relish. Recipes and competition details can be found at www.cwaofnsw.org.au Entry fee is $1 per item.

Two surprise cakes were revealed at our November meeting today. Voted equal first as it was hard to pick a winner. Trudy evans cooked a plain butter cake with pink heart. Annette White cooked a chocolate butter cake with green peppermint triangle inside.
We also packed 15 bags full of toiletries, for ‘share the dignity’. Thank you to all who donated items. These bags go to women who have escaped domestic violence or are in need of assistance during the Christmas season.

This cake is our November branch cooking challenge, why not have a go? This is the 75th anniversary of the land cookery competition, and the state committee has chosen the surprise butter loaf cake as one of the sections.
This butter cake should be baked in a loaf tin and iced on top only with glace icing coloured to match the 'surprise' shape baked inside. Butter cake to consist of two contrasting colours and complimentary flavours with a shape of your choice to be revealed when cut. Own recipe may be used.
$1 entry fee. Bring your cake on Sunday 16th November by 2pm for judging. Have fun baking this one!!

Derby Day 2025. Thanks to all who attended, it was a great day, with the bog roll cup, pin the tail, and all day sweeps. We are proud to say we raised over $260 towards Can Assist. Congratulations to the raffle winners on the day 1st Annette vearing, 2nd Kaylene Hudson, 3rd Carla jolly.
