πŸŽ‰ What an Incredible Night! πŸŽ‰
Our 1980s Trivia Night was an absolute blast, and thanks to the amazing support of our community, we are thrilled to announce that $6,880 was raised for Ronald McDonald House Charities! Every dollar raised will go directly to supporting families when they need it most.

The competition was fierce across nine rounds of 80s-inspired trivia, with the Big Mac Crew claiming the championship by just two points over Ronnie's Raging Ratbags in a nail-biting finish.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was a heartfelt speech from Sarah Bates, who shared her family's experience with Ronald McDonald House and spoke about the incredible support the charity provides to local families. Her story was a powerful reminder of why nights like these are so important and the positive impact Ronald McDonald House has on rural communities and its members.

There was plenty of fun beyond the trivia, with the always-entertaining Heads and Tails competition creating plenty of laughsβ€”and a little controversy! The coin simply refused to land on tails, leaving Dave Maunder and Krystal Bowley as the final two standing. Rather than choosing between them, they both walked away with prizes.

The effort everyone put into dressing up was incredible! Our Best Dressed Table award went to the outstanding Ghostbusters-themed table, complete with the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Slimer, proton packs and plenty of ectoplasm. The hospital staff members behind the display went above and beyond. An honourable mention also goes to Big Mac Crew, who’s authentic 1980s clothing and memorabilia looked like it had come straight from Doc Brown and Marty McFly's DeLorean.

Congratulations also to our individual event winners:
✈️ Paper Plane Champion: Liz Morris
πŸͺ™ Gold Coin Toss Winner: Jim Crouch
🎸 Best Dressed Male: Dave Maunder, rocking a true Def Leppard look
πŸ‘» Best Dressed Female: Jennie Hird as the unforgettable Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
🍬 Lolly Guessing Competition: Donald Kelly and Jan Maher, who tied and each took home a jar of lollies.

Our Mini Mystery Auctions were hugely popular, with five lucky winners taking home prizes valued at over $140 each. The three major auction items were also hotly contested, with winners securing:

πŸš— A $300 Gowings Toyota Service & Parts Voucher
πŸ•οΈ A 7-day Hipcamp holiday at the Camerons' property at South West Rocks
🚜 A beautiful handmade farm set donated by John Turnbull of Werris Creek.

The Monster Raffle, featuring 54 fantastic prizes generously donated by local businesses and Friends of Ronald McDonald House, was another huge success and kept the excitement going throughout the evening. A full list of these will appear shortly.

We would also like to give a very special thank you to Liz Morris of PRD Liverpool Plains, who generously donated the handmade farm set directly to Ronald McDonald House so the children staying there can enjoy a little taste of country life during their time away from home. Your kindness will bring smiles to many young faces. Thank you, Liz.

Finally, the Pink Shenanigans Crew would like to sincerely thank every sponsor, donor, volunteer, attendee and helper who made this event possible. Your generosity, enthusiasm and community spirit continue to make these fundraising events such a success.
Together, we are committed to supporting organisations that make a real difference in our local community, and thanks to your incredible support, we have now raised more than $31,000 for local charities from our events.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We couldn't do it without you, and we can't wait to see you all again at our next event!
