How cool is this!! Now on your daily walk you can become a citizen scientist 🤙
Another vantage point has been added to Perth’s network of coastal monitoring stations.
The ‘Quinns Beach Walkway’ CoastSnap station (https://www.spotteron.com/coastsnap/spots/1233261) has been installed by the City of Wanneroo along the North Mindarie Foreshore Walk Trail.
📸 Next time you’re out for a beach walk, stop by the station, place your phone in the CoastSnap frame and snap the view.
Your photo becomes part of a growing record of our coastline — helping us track how our beaches change from season to season, following significant weather events and over time.
This is the third CoastSnap station installed through Perth NRM’s Building Coastal Resilience project.
You can also start snapping at:
📍 Mettams Pool South Lookout (https://www.spotteron.com/coastsnap/spots/1233060)
📍 Iluka Beach Lookout (https://www.spotteron.com/coastsnap/spots/1233258)
Perth NRM’s Building Coastal Resilience Project is funded by the Australian Government’s Disaster Ready Fund and supported by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA .
CoastSnap is a global citizen science project led by the UNSW Water Research Laboratory.
