You're invited to join us for the Early Childhood Money Habits workshop this November.

We will look at what money messages young children pick up from everyday life and how we can use these everyday moments for possible learning experiences.

Suitable for everyone in the community but particularly: families, early childhood educators, childhood services and community organisations to help build the foundations for lifelong financial wellbeing.

Need help with MyGov or linking your ATO account?

Digital Uplift is on the West Coast this week with free drop-in sessions in Rosebery, Zeehan and Strahan.
Getting your ATO linked to MyGov now can make your visit to the UTAS Tax Clinic, returning this October, much smoother.

The Tax Clinic can support you to lodge your tax return through your own MyGov account, helping you build the confidence to do it yourself in the future.

Last week’s Money & Wellbeing session brought together fantastic guest speakers from Anglicare, Housing Connect and Engender Equality.

Check out the session handouts on our website for useful information and pathways to support for housing insecurity, gambling and substance use help, financial abuse and free financial counselling.

The biggest takeaway? Don’t wait until things reach crisis point to ask for help. Seeking support early can make a real difference.

We all face challenges at different times, and we don’t have to navigate them alone.

Maybe everything didn’t quite add up, you spotted something you could change, or you could do with a bit of extra support.

Part 4 is about making the money you have work for you: protecting the essentials, seeing what you can adjust and knowing where to go for help.

Our Cost of Living resources can help too. You’ll find practical information including:
🟢 scripts to help with phone calls to utility and other providers
🟢 concessions and discounts you may be eligible for
🟢 tips for managing bills and contacting providers early
🟢 information about No Interest Loans (NILS) and whether they could be a better alternative for essential expenses
🟢 free financial counsellor support and services, you don't have to understand everything or work through it alone.

You don’t need to be in crisis to reach out early for support.
