Today we say farewell to Tim after 11 years with headspace.

Over the past 11 years, Tim has supported more than 300 young people on their mental health journey, helping them navigate challenges, build resilience, and work towards their goals.

Tim's dedication, compassion, and commitment to young people have made a lasting difference, not only to the lives of those he has worked with, but also to our team and wider community.

We are incredibly grateful for the contribution Tim has made to headspace Queanbeyan and wish him all the very best for the next chapter. Thank you, Tim, for everything you have given to our centre and the young people we serve. 💚

🌈💜 Today is Wear it Purple Day! 💜🌈

Wear it Purple Day celebrates and supports the LGBTIQA+ community, promoting safe, supportive and inclusive environments where everyone can be proud of who they are 🫂

This year's theme, Colours of Courage, recognises the many ways courage is shown every day. Whether it's speaking up, living authentically, creating change, standing by someone else, or embracing pride and hope, every story matters. Our differences make our communities stronger when we come together ✨🌈

Here at headspace Queanbeyan, we proudly support all members of the LGBTIQA+ community. Everyone is welcome here, exactly as they are 🏳️‍🌈💜

💚🌱 Bullying No Way: Small Acts, Big Impact 🌱💚

This week is Bullying No Way week, which serves as a reminder that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and included wherever they go.

At headspace Queanbeyan, we know that standing up against bullying doesn't always mean making a big gesture. Sometimes it's as simple as:

🤝 Checking in on a friend
💬 Sending a supportive message
👋 Including someone who feels left out
💚 Showing kindness when someone needs it most

The little things that we do every day can help to create a culture where bullying has no place. These small acts have big impacts on others, and together, we can help build a community where everyone feels respected, valued, and supported 🫂

💭 What small act could you do this week to support someone in your life? Let us know in the comments

🔨💚 Calling Local Trade Businesses, Apprenticeship Providers and Industry Groups! 💚🔨

headspace Queanbeyan is seeking expressions of interest from local trade employers and organisations interested in hosting a FREE Tradie Toolbox Talk for their staff, apprentices and young workers!

The trade industry can be rewarding, but it can also come with unique pressures and challenges. Our practical, workplace-based sessions aim to help young tradies and their supervisors learn the following:

✅ Look after their mental health and wellbeing
✅ Recognise when someone might be struggling
✅ Build confidence in having supportive conversations
✅ Learn about local support services and how to access them

Whether you're a small local business or a larger organisation, we'd love to work with you to support the wellbeing of young people in our region.

To express your interest or find out more, contact Renee Cooper at headspace Queanbeyan via:

It can be challenging to know how to support a young person with grief, especially when everyone experiences loss differently. 💛

Small things like being ready to listen, staying connected through everyday moments, and creating space for different emotions can help a young person feel supported as they navigate grief in their own way.
