This Ilinden, we are proud to release a special Limited Edition Throwback T-Shirt celebrating one of the most significant milestones in the history of our church.
Our Macedonian Orthodox Church of St Prophet Ilija was first established in Queanbeyan in 1969, becoming a spiritual home for generations of Macedonian families.
On 2 August 1996 (Ilinden), after the reconstruction of our church, it was solemnly reconsecrated, marking the beginning of a new chapter in our community's history.
To honour 30 years since that historic day, we have recreated a style of T-shirt that many of us remember proudly wearing throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s. For many, it will bring back memories of Ilindens, church picnics, festivals, family gatherings and growing up together as a community.
This is more than merchandise.
It is a tribute to our history, our faith, and the generations who built and sustained our church.
Numbers are strictly limited, with shirts available exclusively at our Ilinden celebration on Sunday, 2 August 2026.
All proceeds will go directly towards the ongoing care, maintenance and future of St Prophet Ilija Macedonian Orthodox Church, helping ensure it continues to serve our community for generations to come.
Once they're gone, they're gone.

СООПШТЕНИЕ

По повод националниот државен празник Илинден 02ри Август 2026 и секако патрон на нашата црква св Илија Квинбијан, црковната управа ве поканува заедно да го обележиме празникот.
Црковната богослужба ќе започне во 9:00 изутрина,после светата божествена литургија ќе се благослови Славскиот леб- Колач од Кумот за оваа година Веле и Катарина Балоски. Откако ќе се избере нов кум за догодина ќе следува Ручек -во горната сала.
Барот и долниот дел на центарот нема да работи .
Горната сала ќе биде оторена.
Од 12:30 на пладне ќе започне концерт со
познатиот естраден уметник Новица Василевски и нашата играорна група КУД Разиграна Македонка.
Програмата ќе биде секако збогатено и со лицитација и лотарија поддржани од наши спонзори.

Dear parishioners, family and friends,

On the occasion of Ilinden – our National Day 2 August 2026 and in honour of Sv. Ilija, the patron saint of our church in Queanbeyan, the Church Committee warmly invites you and your loved ones to join us as we come together in faith, fellowship and celebration.
The Divine Liturgy will commence at 9:00 a.m. Following the service, the traditional Slava Bread will be blessed and shared by this year's Godfather, Vele and Katarina Baloski. After the selection of next year's Godfather family, everyone is invited to enjoy a community lunch in the upstairs hall.
Please note that the bar and lower section of the centre will be closed, while the upstairs hall will remain open for all guests.
From 12:30 p.m., we will continue the festivities with a special concert featuring the renowned Macedonian entertainer Novica Vasilevski, together with our folk dance group KUD Razigrana Makedonka.
The day's program will also include an auction and raffle, generously supported by our sponsors, adding to the spirit of celebration and community.
We look forward to sharing this special day with you and your families as we celebrate our faith, heritage, and traditions together.
