The Quairading CRC is packed full to the brim with a showcase of works from our local Photo Club, Hot Stitches Sewing Group and the Weekly Art Group—ready to open to the public at 9am Friday 16th! Come for Morning Tea, Friday 16th at 10:30am or an After Hours W**e & Cheese Viewing, Friday 16th from 5pm – 6:30pm. Showcase open:
Friday 16th: 9am - 6:30pm, Saturday 17th: 9am - 2pm and Sunday 18th: 9am - 12pm.
OPENING CEREMONY
The people of Quairading are invited to the opening ceremony of the Peter Murphy Memorial Shed. To be held at the Quairading Vintage Club (entry from Parker Street). Saturday 17th October at 10:30am. To be held in conjunction with the Vintage Club’s Open Day where a sausage sizzle will be available from 8:30am onwards.
TIDY TOWN MEETING
Tidy Town meeting will be on Monday 19th October at the museum at 9:30am, all are welcome.
LINE DANCING
Tuesday 6pm – 7pm for the next three weeks at the Quairading Town Hall (20/10, 27/10 & 3/11). We had 5 beginner boot scooters get involved this week so there’s plenty of room for more to join in next week! Learn three dances each session, via YouTube tutorials or the big screen. No RSVP or coordination necessary, $5 per person per session. Contact Jill at the Quairading CRC for more info.

FARMYARD FUN AT KWIRRADING KOORT
Join us for a Children’s Week celebration on Tuesday 27 October, 3pm–5pm at Kwirrading Koort! Kids can pat and feed farm animals from Old MacDonald’s Farm, enjoy rides on the Lil Louie Train, and enjoy a free sausage sizzle, drink and ice cream. Bring the family along for a fun afternoon! SLICE SWAP & SUNDOWNER
Start filling your freezer at our pre (/during) harvest Slice Swap and Sundowner! Sunday 1st November, 4pm - 6pm @ the Quairading CRC Alfresco. Give your harvest lunchbox game a shake up! Bake and bring long two slices, and take home two different slices. Slice, biscuits, cakes, sweet or savoury - anything freezer and lunch box friendly. Aim for 20 serves per “slice”. Bring a copy of your recipes too and we’ll compile a collection! Make the most of the outing and stay for a drink and a catch up! BYO drinks. Light nibbles provided (thanks to the Quairading Co-op).

CITIZEN OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!
Do you know someone who makes a difference in our community? Now is your chance to recognise their contribution! Council has introduced two categories for the award:
Citizen of the Year, Youth Citizen of the Year (under 25). Nominations are open now and must be received by 27 November 2026. The winners will be announced and presented at the 2027 Australia Day function at the Quairading Town Hall.

Applications are now open for the Shire of Quairading’s Community & Business Grants Programs! Local community groups, organisations, and businesses are encouraged to apply for funding to support projects, events and initiatives that benefit our community. Applications are open from 1st October 2026 and close at 4:00pm, 16th November 2026.
