✨ Shaping Quairading’s Future: Council Plan 2026-2036 Endorsed

At the May Ordinary Council Meeting, Council formally endorsed the Council Plan 2026-2036.

Combining the Strategic Community Plan and Corporate Business Plan into one document, the Council Plan outlines our community’s vision and priorities for the next ten years, along with the Shire’s four-year delivery program to help achieve them.

The Plan focuses on building generational prosperity, economic growth, environmental sustainability and a connected, vibrant community through partnership, civic leadership and collective action.

This Plan has been shaped by the voices of our community through the “Imagine Quairading: Conversations About Our Future” engagement process, facilitated by Peter Kenyon from Bank of I.D.E.A.S. More than 600 community members and visitors contributed over 1,200 ideas and opinions, helping to create a shared vision and priorities for Quairading’s future.

A sincere thank you to Peter Kenyon and Bank of I.D.E.A.S. for guiding this process, and to everyone who took the time to participate and share their ideas. Together, we have developed a plan that reflects our aspirations and provides a roadmap for the next decade.

As a result, the scheduled power outage is now expected to occur later today or possibly tomorrow.

⚠️ POWER OUTAGE NOTICE ⚠️

Western Power is currently carrying out repairs to the Quairading power line following the weekend’s storms.

To complete these works, power to the entire town will need to be switched off from approximately 1:00pm today.

Western Power anticipates the outage will last 2–3 hours.

If there are any significant changes to this timeframe, Western Power will provide an update and we will share further information as soon as possible.
