التجمع المسيحي الأسترالي اللبناني يدين الهجوم اللاأخلاقي على البطريرك الراعي
يضمّ التجمع المسيحي الأسترالي اللبناني صوته إلى مواقف القيادات السياسية والروحية المنددة بالإساءة التي طالت غبطة البطريرك الماروني الكاردينال بشارة بطرس الراعي، معتبراً أنّ التعرض للمرجعيات الدينية والرموز الوطنية يشكّل تجاوزاً مرفوضاً للأعراف والقيم التي يقوم عليها لبنان.
ويرفض التجمع، باسم رئيسه والي وهبة وأعضائه، التطاول على مقام بكركي والبطريرك الراعي، مؤكداً أنّ الخلافات السياسية لا تبرر المسّ بالمقامات الروحية التي تمثّل رمزاً للوحدة الوطنية والعيش المشترك.
كما دعا إلى الإقلاع عن الإساءات الشخصية والعودة إلى أسلوب التخاطب الديمقراطي، لأن الإهانة والتجريح يعكسان ضعفاً لدى مطلقيهما. ورأى التجمع أنّ هذه الأساليب اللاأخلاقية في مهاجمة البطريرك مرفوضة ومدانة، نظراً لما يمثّله القادة الروحيون من قيم تتجاوز البعد الديني لتلامس البعد الوطني.
وأعرب التجمع عن وقوفه إلى جانب البطريرك الراعي، الذي يحرص دائماً على سيادة لبنان ومصلحة اللبنانيين.
