🪃Adventure Training Award (ATA) Fitness Testing

On Saturday 22 NOVEMBER 2025 both CDTCPL Peacock and CDTCPL Green participated in the national ATA Fitness Testing, one of multiple phases, to compete for a position in Victoria's top 10.

Both cadets were tested on the below:
🏊‍♂️ Swimming (min 25m in uniform and runners, and uniform, runners and PFD).
🏃‍♀️ Beep Test: Min 7.5
🧭 Nav Exercise approx 7.5km in Patrol Order.

This is an example of how both cadets, are always looking for opportunities to develop as cadets and, applying some of our fantastic cadet values; excellence, initiative and teamwork, to support their peers from other units, in the cadet program.

Great work CDTCPL Peacock and CDTCPL Green.

Results are yet to be announced.

🪖TIER 3 21-27 SEPT 25

A group of 25 Australian Army Cadets were nominated, from within Victoria's 33 Battalion(BN), to undertake a week of military-like life in the field.

They developed their skills in patrolling, which consisted of field signals, formations and obstacle crossings. They additionally learnt how to conduct obervation posts, establishing platoon positions, deliver orders and much more. This all worked around a scenario based activity.

Well done to all of the cadets who participated and took on the challenge.

Note: Weapons being carried by the cadets are permanently modified and unable to be fired. Their use is for training purposes to engender good weapons discipline and safe handling, and add complexity and challenges in the ex*****on of tasks.
