ALGWA SA is a state branch of the *national association- ALGWA - the peak body representing the interests of women in Local Government - women elected to and working in local government. We are a not-for-profit and non-political voluntary association. We welcome women and men who support our aims: ALGWA SA seeks to assist in furthering women's knowledge, understanding and participation in the function of Local Government. Membership is open to all interested in supporting and encouraging women's participation in Local Government. ALGWA SA encourages and supports women to become actively involved in their communities and in the key decision making processes of Local Government.
