Thanks to SWIM for hosting Alan and Tom on their visit to the Solomon Islands last week. It was a privilege for them to visit the base, engage with the team and then visit students at both Tetere and Rove.

Carrying with them 140 certificates for Crossroads students who had completed their courses, plus boxes of new lessons, this was an incredible opportunity to see how SWIM coordinates the ministry and its impact in the lives of the students.

Praise God for our partnerships for the growth of the kingdom.

I struggled with a hardened heart for many years and turning away from God and struggling with trust issues. I guess I just knew He was always there and when I realised that it was like a weight fled from me. – Derek*

Will you pray with us for the men and women in our prisons who are weighed down by life and circumstance? That each one will turn to see the one who is waiting to take their burdens. Even in prison there can be new life.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

In humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. – Philippians 2:3-4

Even behind prison walls, the Bible is transforming lives, restoring hope, and drawing people to Jesus. Praise God for faithful mentors who are sharing their faith and unpacking God’s word one letter at a time.

“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

Cultivating Christ-centred relationships that change everything.

I just wanted to say thank you for the encouragement and understanding. Since you gave me hope with Galatians 3:26-29, it has been easier to accept that Jesus helps all who call on him. – Jordan*, Crossroads Student Australia

Thanks to the wisdom and commitment of a Crossroads mentor, Jordan has found encouragement and hope in a letter.

Christ-centred relationships, bringing transformation and hope to the lives of men and women in prison.

A big thank you to the ladies of the Christian Reformed Churches across NSW for welcoming Tom to their Ladies Day at Sutherland. It was a privilege to share the Crossroads story and invite those gathered to partner with us in reaching prisoners with the hope of Christ.

We’re delighted to see new mentor applications already coming in from this passionate and servant-hearted group. God is at work!

The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.– Luke 10:2

Manuel is a Crossroads Student in PNG. Even in prison he holds on to the wonder of God’s creation. His artwork shows what his eyes can’t currently see, drawing his memories in detail with pencil.

“So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:21

Praise God that His goodness is known by students like Manuel even inside prison walls.
