It was inspiring to see so many people committed to building their mental fitness, believing in themselves, and finding the confidence to take that next step. “Just one more”

With bullying, loneliness and youth mental health challenges continuing to impact so many young people we need your help to make a difference.

A huge thank you to the Whitsunday Su***de Prevention Network - WSPN for their incredible ongoing support of the b kinder foundation. Through their generous funding, many schools across the Whitsundays are able to participate in our annual b kinder school program, ensuring more students have access to opportunities that promote kindness, compassion and leadership.
Last week, we were proud to bring together over 155 student leaders from across the region for our annual b kinder primary and high school summits. These inspiring events empower young people to become positive changemakers within their schools and communities and they would not be possible without the support of the Whitsunday Su***de Prevention Network.
What makes this partnership so special is our shared commitment to creating a more connected, compassionate and supportive community. Together, we are investing in prevention, empowering young people and helping to create environments where students feel seen, valued and supported.
We absolutely love this collaboration and are incredibly grateful for the encouragement and support the Whitsunday Su***de Prevention Network continues to provide.
Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of young people and helping build a kinder community.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Whitsunday Transit for their generous support of our annual b kinder summit again this year.

By providing transport for students from Bowen to attend the summit, Whitsunday Transit helped remove barriers to participation and ensured these young leaders had the opportunity to connect, learn and grow alongside their peers from across the region.

Their support enabled students to access a transformative leadership experience focused on kindness, compassion, inclusion and positive community impact.

We are incredibly grateful for their commitment to supporting local young people and investing in the wellbeing and future of their community. Their generosity demonstrates the important role local businesses play in helping create opportunities for young people to develop the skills and confidence to become leaders and changemakers within their schools and communities.

This week, both our b kinder high school and primary school student leaders participated in the online workshop "Celebrating Difference and Modelling Kindness", facilitated by Matthew Smith.

These engaging and interactive sessions encouraged students to reflect on the important role they play as leaders within their schools and communities. Through meaningful discussions and activities, students explored how they can use their voice, influence and actions to create more inclusive, compassionate and connected school environments. A highlight of the workshop was the powerful conversation around asking questions without judgement and seeking to understand other student's perspectives. Students were challenged to consider how embracing difference and leading with kindness can strengthen relationships and help foster a greater sense of belonging for everyone.

Thank you, Matthew, for another inspiring workshop that empowered our young leaders to recognise the positive impact they can have on those around them.
