The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) ASIA PACIFIC CHAPTER
To assist the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (‘the Institute’ or ‘ICAB) in its objectives:
Advance the theory and practice of accountancy in all its aspects.
Recruit, develop and support a body of members skilled in these arts.
Preserve at all times the professional independence of members in whatever capacities they may be serving.
Maintain high standards of practice and professional conduct by all its members.
Do all such things as may advance the members of the Institute in relation to public practice, industry, commerce and the public service.
To assist members of the Institute living and/or working in Australia and the Asia Pacific region to maintain and raise their professional profile and enhance their professional competence by initiating and arranging:
Activities on matters relating to the profession
A process of meaningful dialogue with professional accounting bodies in Australia and the region, e.g. ICAA/CAANZ, CPA Australia, for increased recognition of ICAB qualification in Australia and the region.
As deemed appropriate, social meetings to enable Institute members and their guests to meet informally and improve mutual understanding, and
Projects to meet the professional needs of its members and enhance awareness of the Institute in Australia.
To act as a liaison between the Institute and its members living and/or working in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
To do all such things as may be necessary for the attainment of these objects.
To pursue members of ICAA/CAANZ and other eligible bodies who are of Bangladeshi origin to obtain ICAB membership thereby benefiting both the ICAB and the incoming members.
