VACCA Koorie Kids Playgroup Northern V***A Koorie Kids Playgroup run 4 playgroups across the week. Come along and join us for some fun! All sessions are free for Aboriginal families.

Koorie Kids Supported Playgroup is a culturally safe, fun and empowering environment for families with children under 5 years of age. It is a place for children, families and carers to gather with other Aboriginal families, make new friends, hear stories, participate in cultural arts, crafts & dance, express creativity and learn about culture in a supportive and safe environment. Koorie Kids Playg

roup runs for 2 hours and a healthy snack is provided each session. We run Northern V***A Koorie Kids Supported Playgroup during school terms as follows:

Monday- Mernda 1pm-3pm

This week at Playgroup we had so much fun!! The activity we done this week was boomerang painting, playdough fun and we also done some outdoor playtime and some bubble fun. At our Koorie Kitchen, Deadly Feeds program we had Uncle Dan come along and teach everyone how to cook a budget friendly meal of Coconut Curry Chicken! Everyone loves when Dan visits to do his cooking!!

We hope everyone had a lovely week and we cant wait to see everyone again next week for another fun filled week 🖤💛❤️

This week at Playgroup we had lots happening. We had deadly feeds this week on Wednesday where Aunty Tay came and showed us how to cook a cheap friendly mexican pasta bake. The activity we done at our other Playgroups we made some Sorry Day posters in remembrance of National Sorry Day! We hope everyone had a good week this week.

Good afternoon you mob,

Come along and join Aunty Brina & deadly Malikai who show you what activity they are doing in remembrance of National Sorry Day.

Just a reminder on a day like today National Sorry Day make sure we take some time to think of all the families, communities and souls that were destroyed by forcible removal of our mob. The impact of the Stolen Generations is still felt today by our communities. Still to this day our Stolen Generations continue to live with intergenerational trauma and are still healing.

Just remember take some time out for yourself today and look after one another you mob. ⚫️🟡🔴
