Together Pottsville will be holding a stall along with other Tweed community resilience groups at the Tweed Sustainable Living Festival. It's next Saturday September 12, 10am-3pm at Kingscliff Highschool. We'll likely be inside, next to the big map (which is worth seeing!). Come say hi and check out the other stalls and workshops available on the day.

Get inspired to live more sustainably with free workshops, repair cafes, EV displays, gardening tips, live entertainment and more. 10 am - 3 pm.

Our resident Canadian Eu Nice is currently home and stumbled across the inspiring community of xwesam/Roberts Creek. The beautiful tool library, community gardens etc set up by One Straw Society and music from the town residents' Slow Sundays sesh is definitely a vibe and an inspiration!

Our bag swap stations got a glow up! Thanks to our designer Vee for making these beautiful signs for our boxes! Many thanks to Pottsville Express - IGA and Pottsville Foodworks for hosting our stations, Village Hardware for helping us pick out the right screws, and everyone in Pottsville for your continued use and refill of these bags. Truly a town wide effort to reduce plastic waste ❤️

SES has informed us that there will be a national test for AusAlert scheduled for 27 July 2026 at 2pm NSW-time (see: https://www.ausalert.gov.au/alerts-explained/national-test -to-expect)

AusAlert is a new national warning system that uses the latest technology to send emergency messages to compatible mobile devices. It is currently being tested nationally expected to be rolled out in October 2026.

It will work in conjunction with your HazardsNearMe app warnings and in combination with our alerts from the SES. Once it’s rolled out, we’ll see how it works and aim to avoid sending you duplicate alerts.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority (RA) is developing the first multi hazard Disaster Adaptation Plan (DAP) in the Northern Rivers. Share your ideas on how they can help us reduce or adapt to the risk of natural hazards. You can join the conversation:
(1) online through this Have Your Say webpage from 5 to 30 June 2026, or
(2) by attending one of seven drop-in sessions held across the region in June 2026. See below for dates, locations and to register. The one of interest may be June 15 in Mur'bah.
