It takes a village… and our village is pretty amazing. 💛
Behind every successful community event are countless hours of planning, setting up, packing down, and a whole lot of people giving their time simply because they care.
First up, thank you to our incredible volunteers! Special thanks to Clare and Clare for keeping everyone well fed in the kitchen, Sandie and Jason for creating so much fun with the games, and to all the volunteers who put up the bunting, emptied the bins, set up, packed down, and helped wherever they were needed.
We’re also so grateful to the Pottsville and District Men's Shed Inc, the pottsville_community_assoc_inc , and our dedicated Hall Committee volunteers. A special thank you to the Cabarita and Pottsville Lions Club, who not only fired up the BBQ and kept the sausages coming, but also played a significant role in helping fund the construction of our hall back in the 1980s. It was wonderful to celebrate alongside a group that has supported our community for so many years.
A heartfelt thank you to the family of the late Ruth Clarke for joining us to unveil our new Life Member plaque and for helping us honour Ruth’s lasting contribution to our community. Thank you also to Geoff Provest MP and Tweed Shire Council Nola Firth for joining us to unveil the plaque and be part of such a special moment.
And to our local businesses… wow! When we reached out, you said YES. Yes to donating food. Yes to vouchers and prizes. Yes to drinks, food and supplies. We’re incredibly grateful.
A huge thank you to Witheriff Group, Pottsville Sports, Pottsville Tavern, Village Hardware (Brent & the team), Wonderloft, PLB Group, Lola’s Mexican, Farm & Co, Tropical Fruit World, Corner Stop, Craft Hair & Beauty, Black Drop, Pottsville Village Meats, Cellarbrations, Pottsville Cellars, IGA and FoodWorks for your generous donations and prizes that helped make the day so special.
A special thank you also to Tweed Coast Living for helping spread the word; Bangalow Public School, Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School and Pottsville Beach Football Club for providing games and equipment; and Pottsville & District RSL for raising the flag.
Of course, thank you to Yacht Club Holiday for travelling down and getting the hall rocking, and to DJ Josie styles keeping the vibes high outside, and to Kakes and Biscuits for keeping the kids entertained and having so much fun.
To all our amazing bakers, thank you for filling the hall with delicious treats. And thank you to our wonderful judging panel: Yen from Pippit, Kathy Frost from Pottsville Beach Public School, and local legend Noel Hart.
