The Pinnacle Foundation was delighted to be the chosen charity to our bronze partner, Morgan Stanley's sponsorship of the film "I Was Born This Way", which was screened on Thursday 19 February 2026. This joyful documentary celebrating the revolutionary life and music of Archbishop Carl Bean who sang the first gay anthem, "I Was Born This Way". The film traces his rise from gospel singer to trailblazing activist, helping found the Minority Aids Project and Unity Fellowship Church.

There were many Morgan Stanley and Pinnacle NSW Committee team members in the audience and Craig, our Donor and Bequests Manager gave a quick talk on the work that the Foundation does in transforming the lives of young LGBTQIA+ Australians to help them realise their potential.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Q***r Screen for their generous support in airing our commercials before each film screening throughout the festival - we are truly grateful.

What an incredible weekend in Hobart! The Pinnacle Foundation’s Tasmanian committee was out in full force at the TasPride Parade, marching with pride, purpose, and a whole lot of heart.

Marching in TasPride is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. We walk to celebrate the vibrant LGBTQIA+ community in Tassie and to champion the next generation of scholars who are breaking barriers every day.

Huge thanks to our dedicated committee members and supporters who joined us. You represent the best of us!

What an incredible day at Fair Day over the weekend! The NSW Committee had a wonderful time hosting our stall, soaking up the sun and the vibrant atmosphere of one of our favorite community events.

It was a beautiful day filled with meaningful conversations. We were joined by a fantastic mix of our scholars, alumni, and committee members, all coming together to share the same vital message: the transformative impact of The Pinnacle Foundation on young LGBTQIA+ Australians.

Seeing our scholars and alumni speak so passionately about their journeys reminds us exactly why we do what we do. By providing scholarships and mentorship, we aren't just supporting an education; we are fostering the next generation of proud LGBTQIA+ leaders.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, shared their story, or asked how they could get involved. Together, we’re building a more inclusive future, one scholarship at a time.
