We are delighted to welcome Justin D'Agostino MH as a Patron of The Pinnacle Foundation.

Justin is the Global CEO of Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, one of the world’s leading global law firms, where he leads a team of more than 6,000 people across 26 offices.

Justin is a long-standing advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion. He has spoken openly about the importance of visibility, allyship and authentic leadership and, in 2024, was recognised in Fortune’s inaugural LGBTQ+ Leaders List.

Justin and his husband, KC Yeo, are Pinnacle Cornerstone Donors and have funded a scholarship since 2021. They are proud to support Pinnacle’s work helping young LGBTQIA+ Australians pursue their education and achieve their goals.

Thank you to our gold partner, Mallesons for hosting our 2026 NSW Partners’ Dinner last week. Darren McClafferty welcomed guests, looking forward to an evening of enrichment and joy. Andrew Staite thanked guests for their sustained support and reinforced the vital role our partners play in funding and magnifying our impact as Australia’s LGBTQIA+ education charity. Recipient of the Mallesons Pinnacle Foundation Scholarship, Jayden Younan powerfully shared his story, speaking with heart and conviction. Pinnacle Foundation alumnus and Mallesons law graduate, Victoria Shahho thanked Jayden for sharing his story and reflections, and Joseph Muraca closed proceedings.

Special thanks to Saskia Ilott, Clementine Johnson, Luke Gallagher and the LINK network for their sustained support, and for creating with Ola Radka such a joyous and uplifting event.

On 16 September, our gold partner, Mallesons generously hosted our annual Perth Partners’ Dinner. Jerome Tse welcomed the forty guests in attendance. Greg Livingstone thanked everyone present for their generous and sustained support. Andrew Staite then provided an update on the Foundation before welcoming Pinnacle scholar, Troy, who powerfully shared his journey. Saskia Ilott thanked Troy and guests for attending.

Thank you to the incredible Mallesons team and to Ola Radka for creating such a special event filled with love and joy. Thank you to our WA Committee and our deputy chair, Karen Brown for creating such a strong and engaged Pinnacle community in the West. To mark Wear It Purple Day, a number of Pinnacle Foundation partners hosted events across Australia where our scholars shared their stories and experiences.

Thank you to Allens, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), BHP, Commonwealth Bank, Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, ISS Facility Services Australia and New Zealand, Maddocks, Mirvac, NOVA Entertainment, Qube, Ramsay Health Care, UnLtd and Woodside Energy for creating these opportunities for connection, learning and visibility.

A special thank you also to the Pinnacle scholars and alumni who so generously shared their personal journeys. Storytelling takes courage, vulnerability and authenticity, and your willingness to share your experiences helps foster greater understanding, inclusion and hope for others.

Wear It Purple shines a spotlight on the importance of inclusion, but it is the year-round commitment of our partners that creates lasting impact. Through their support of Pinnacle's scholarships, mentoring and community-building programs, they help young LGBTQIA+ Australians overcome barriers, pursue their education and realise their full potential, particularly those who have faced rejection from family, faith or community.

We are deeply grateful for their sustained support and for their belief in a future where every young person can thrive, regardless of their background or identity.

Last night, our gold partner, Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, generously hosted our Melbourne Corporate Partners' Dinner, bringing together valued supporters to celebrate their sustained commitment to The Pinnacle Foundation and the young people we educate and support.

Anthony Wood welcomed guests and introduced Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer global CEO, Justin D'Agostino MH, who spoke powerfully about the firm's commitment to inclusion and shared how he and his husband proudly support Pinnacle as Cornerstone donors.

Pinnacle chair Greg Livingstone thanked attendees for their ongoing support and reflected on Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer's longstanding partnership with Pinnacle, which began in 2007.

Pinnacle CEO Andrew Staite acknowledged the vital role our corporate partners play in the Foundation's success, noting that 2026 has been another record year and that we will award a record number of scholarships again in 2027.

The evening's highlights included inspiring speeches from two Pinnacle scholars, whose stories reminded us all of the life-changing impact that our partners and donors make possible.

Last night in Sydney our gold partner, Macquarie Group generously hosted our annual Patrons’ & Cornerstone Donors’ Dinner to thank our patrons and major donors for their sustained and generous support. Stuart Green warmly welcomed guests. Andrew Staite and Greg Livingstone shared Pinnacle updates and Pinnacle scholar, Jack Carroll reflected powerfully on the impact the Pinnacle program has had on his studies, confidence and life.

For too many LGBTQIA+ young Australians, university feels like a world that was not built for them.

One of our current scholars has this message: ‘All I knew about being gay was that it meant I was different and did not belong.

As someone who never thought they could belong to a community, Pinnacle gave me a feeling I hadn’t felt before: real belonging’.

As well as scholarship funds to help you with the costs of study, you will be matched with a mentor who will support you through your education journey. You will also be invited to Pinnacle events and networking opportunities.

A heartfelt thank you to Hall & Wilcox, our gold partner, for hosting our End of Financial Year event in Perth last week.

A special thank you to Rosemary Roach for warmly welcoming our guests, to Ruby Hunt for helping make the event possible, and to Talia Pieri for coordinating everything so seamlessly behind the scenes. It was a pleasure to work together.

We are also incredibly grateful to Hon Hannah Beazley for joining us and sharing a few words on the evening.

Thank you to all our guests, volunteers, partners, supporters, and friends who attended. Events like these are a wonderful reminder of the strength of our community and the collective impact we can have when we come together.

We are so grateful for our Perth community and for the ongoing support of Hall & Wilcox in helping The Pinnacle Foundation create brighter futures for LGBTQIA+ young people.
