THANKYOU! Glenelg Libraries would like to send heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to our Hooked on Christmas project. To those who came along to learn a new skill and stayed for the countless crochet sessions that happened as part of our LAD program and Saturday afternoons....thankyou, to those who donated squares locally and further afield (we got more than 2000 of them)....thankyou, to all of those volunteers who have come and taken squares and lovingly assembled them into blankets .....thankyou, we see you and we appreciate your kindness and generosity. We have loved the connections that have grown as part of the project too. Because of all of you within our community and beyond we now have more than 30 beautiful handmade blankets to donate to the Portland Salvation Army to be distributed to local community members in need just in time for winter.
