Come down to the Portland Library today to support these young creatives.

💛 Celebrating Youth Creativity and Expression | 2026 Youth Fest

18 students from the Re-Engagement School have been busy creating individual artworks as part of this year’s 2026 Youth Fest Program!

Over the past couple of months, students have explored some of the key issues facing young people today, including housing, drug and alcohol use, transportation, environmental issues, mental health, and the limited spaces and opportunities available to young people living in rural communities.

This exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for the community to see these important issues through the eyes of young people, hear their perspectives, and celebrate their creativity and hard work.

The artworks will also be compiled into a scrapbook, which will remain on display at the Library for a further two weeks.

We invite everyone to come along, show their support, and celebrate the voices and creativity of our local young people! 💛

Don't forget our Pride in Ageing Cuppa Catch Up at the Portland Library next Monday, 11am to 12.30pm. Jen Walsh (they/them), Pride in Ageing Regional Coordinator for the Great South Coast, would love to shout you a morning cuppa to celebrate Seniors Month.

Come along for a relaxed morning tea to catch up, connect, chat and build community with other LGBTI+ people and allies in a welcoming and friendly space. Members of the Warrnambool Pride in Ageing Coffee Group will join us as well for a cuppa and a chat.
