Let's get behind this great program...

For more than 70 years ⚙️ the Rotary Club of Portland Inc.has been quietly shaping our community 🏡. Local volunteers have cooked sausages, supported scholarships for young people 👩‍🎓, backed health initiatives ❤️, and contributed to global causes like polio eradication 🌏.

Now they’re taking the stage at SharkPitch 2025 🦈🎤 with a project that’s close to home, expanding accredited su***de prevention training 🧠💬 across the Glenelg Shire.

By giving locals the skills to recognise warning signs 🚨, reach out, and connect others to help 💛, Rotary is helping to build a safer, stronger, and more compassionate community 🌟.

What an amazing experience...8 days working (and having fun) at Koroipita Model Town. I think we made a difference....it certainly felt damn good helping out! I painted timbers, helped make shelves, visited the kindy, helped build a fence, made friendship braids with the kids, counted screws, laughed, perspired (buckets), chatted with loads of people and loved every tiring moment! We gave away 300 pairs of bras, about 8 pairs of workboots and dozens of pairs of work gloves. The project is brilliant...giving 100s of people a home to live in and a chance to make something of themselves.
