A big congratulations to Relle Jasper for completing her native planting refuge on her property at Narrawong. This was planted in two stages and is often the case when you have to rely on the most opportune time to plant. Which is most often Autumn here.
This project was funded by the Wildlife Habitat Fund. All the best Relle.

This year, in the lead up to Landcare Week (3-9 August), weโ€™re inviting you to tell us how you experience landcare and what it means to you through the Landcare Through the Lens campaign. โœ๏ธ ๐Ÿ“ท

Weโ€™ve already received many wonderful submissions โ€“ here is one from Bruce B from VIC.

โ€œThis is what landcare means to me. A planting taking place in a suburban setting, with a multi-cultural group of people, including two Buddhist monks, working together on winter's afternoon, to improve the biodiversity of a previously unloved piece of constructed wetland. The area has been well prepped, the holes are dug, and we will all have a cuppa after we finish and congratulate ourselves. This small patch is now a flourishing, self-sustaining native habitat, contributing to more wildlife and a better world.โ€

By submitting a photo to Landcare Through the Lens, you will have the chance to win $1,000 for your landcare group or community-led environmental group*.

Share a photo and tell us about your experience of landcare and why it matters to you.

Submit your photo: https://landcareaustralia.org.au/resources/campaigns/landcare-week/landcare-through-the-lens/
