Ceoltóirí Naarm brought such warmth, music and generosity to NCFF 2026. 🎻🍀

Not only did they share beautiful music and song with festival audiences, they make our Come & Try program so special — inviting children of all ages to pick up an instrument, ask questions, have a go, and feel part of the tradition.

That spirit of sharing is at the heart of the festival. Music isn’t just something to watch — it’s something to step into, learn from, and carry forward.

It was an absolute pleasure having Ceoltóirí Naarm involved in the festival again, and we’re so grateful for the joy, skill and community spirit they brought to Portarlington. 💚

Celtic Kitchen was full of flavour, fire and great craic at NCF 2026. 🍲☘️🔥

Chef Declan McGovern was at the heart of it all — from his Session Tent masterclass with seafood chowder, Irish soda bread and beautiful local produce, to the brilliant Celtic Cook-Off against William Hutton from Claymore, hosted by Simon Toohey.

There was banter, friendly rivalry, a little kitchen drama, and plenty of laughs — all proudly supported by Geelong City Market.

And of course, Declan rounded it all out with Morning After the Craic, serving up a hearty Irish breakfast for those recovering from a weekend of music, dancing and good times.

A proper feast of food, culture and community. 💚

What an incredible experience it was to welcome Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta to NCF 2026. ☘️🎶

Straight from Connemara to Portarlington, they brought us a true taste of the Gaeltacht — rich songs, stunning musicianship, heartfelt tradition, and some seriously great banter along the way.

They are one of those rare acts that completely mesmerises the audience — drawing you in with every note, every story, and every glance between them on stage.

There was something so special about seeing young artists carry culture forward with such joy, pride and ease. Their music reminded us that tradition isn’t something locked in the past — it’s living, growing, laughing, singing, and being passed on in moments just like these.

What an incredible June long weekend at NCF 2026. 💚

We’re still absolutely buzzing from the magic of the weekend — the music, the dancing, the sunshine, the community, and every single person who helped bring Portarlington to life.

To everyone who showed up, sang along, danced in the crowd, joined a session, wandered the markets, shared a meal, or simply soaked it all in — thank you.

To our incredible artists, performers, volunteers, crew, partners, stallholders, and everyone behind the scenes: this festival simply wouldn’t happen without you. Your energy, generosity, and passion made the weekend unforgettable. ✨

We’re beyond grateful for the turnout, the weather, and the beautiful spirit that filled the festival from start to finish.

To every volunteer who gave their time, energy, patience, humour, and helping hands across the festival — thank you.

From setting up spaces and welcoming festival-goers, to keeping things moving behind the scenes, answering questions, lending a hand, and bringing that unmistakable festival spirit… you helped make NCF 2026 what it was.

A festival like this takes a whole community, and our volunteers are such a big part of that heart. Without you, it simply wouldn’t be possible in the same way. Special thanks to Natalie O’Donnell our volunteer lead .
