The Port Melbourne Toy Library is not-for-profit community based organisation, that exists to inspire our local children to learn through play.

Come and visit during opening: Wed & Sat | 10:30am–12:30pm Join us to borrow from a great range of toys suitable for children from the ages of 6 months to 6 years. Includes balance bikes, infant and pre-school toys, imaginative play, puzzles, games, costumes and loads more! How To Join: Visit the Toy Library during our opening hours

Member Fees:
- Annual Membership $130
- Concession Membership $0
- Short Term Membership (3 months) $45

* Annual Members are eligible for $20 discount on following year’s membership if they volunteer up to 2 x1 hour volunteer session
* Members can borrow 4 toys at a time. Membership options available for extra toys

LEGO DUPLO is a much-loved play option for children aged 0–8, with larger bricks that are easy for little hands to hold, build and pull apart. At PMTL, our DUPLO collection includes a random box, Frozen Ice Castle, First Time Visit Doctor, Pet Shop, Cake Set and more sets waiting to be discovered.

DUPLO supports fine motor skills, problem-solving, creativity, storytelling and imaginative play. Younger children can practise stacking, sorting and colour recognition, while older children can build scenes, create stories and play collaboratively. Borrow a DUPLO set next time you visit and see where your child's imagination takes them.

💛 We're feeling very grateful.

Port Melbourne Toy Library has received a $6,000 Toy Library grant through the Victorian Government's Toy Library Grants program.

This support means so much to our small community toy library. Our grant will help us grow and renew our selection of high-quality educational toys and equipment, improve what we can offer our members, and continue contributing towards a rich home learning environment for local children.

The Victorian Government is investing $1.9 million over 4 years to establish 8 new toy libraries and support existing toy libraries with grants of up to $10,000.

We're incredibly thankful for this funding and for the ongoing support of our members, volunteers, families and local community. Every borrowed toy, every volunteer hour, and every family visit helps keep PMTL thriving.

Behind the scenes on open day at Port Melbourne Toy Library.

Our volunteers help with so many little things that make borrowing possible — setting up, checking loans and returns, counting toy pieces, tidying shelves and closing up at the end of the session.

PMTL is powered by local volunteers, and we're so grateful for the time and care they give to our toy library community.
