To our members and the local community of Southport Community Centre, and our colleagues across Victoria and in New South Wales.

On behalf of staff at Southport Community Centre I would like to express our sadness, and extend our care and connection to Jewish communities within our local community and beyond.

The violence at Bondi Beach on the first night of Hanukkah has no place in our community.

Neighborhood Houses stand together against all forms of violence, hatred and exclusion, and we hold the values of life, belonging, respect and inclusion at the heart of what we do.

Antisemitism and discrimination have caused fear, pain and harm and we stand together with the Jewish community, its organisations and the broader community ready to offer our support and compassion.
