The Museum encompasses two separate cottages located in the Heritage-listed Pilot Cottage precinct adjacent to the Town Beach and Flagstaff Hill open 10am to 4pm every day of the week with a $5 entry fee for adults, Child (6-12) $2 and a Family (2 Adults + 2 Children) $12 or call 65 843 055 for further information. The Pilot Boat Shed our second site located at the lower end of Clarence Street on

the river's edge and is open 10am to 2pm Daily with free entry or call 65 842 987 for further information. Our third site The Hibbard Boat Yard and Slipway located right on the river's edge at the Hibbard Ferry by turning off Hastings River Drive opposite airport turn-off and is open 9am to 2pm Wednesday and Saturday with free entry or call 65 838 011 for further information.

What a fantastic day at Bunnings Port Macquarie! 🌭🙏 Thank you to everyone who stopped by & supported our sausage sizzle yesterday. Big thank you to all our Volunteers too 💕💕 We know we were a bit rusty & slow on the grill – but your patience and smiles kept us going! We're already looking forward to the next one, and promise to be back in top form.

Young Captain Jack and his family have escaped the chilly Victoria weather for some welcome warmth up north!

While the rain wasn't quite on their schedule, they've taken it in stride – after all, every drop helps our local farmers. And they've been rewarded with 3 to 4 gorgeous sunny days, including yesterday and today.

Little Jack, in particular, can't seem to take his eyes off the Pilots Boat Shed – perched right on the beautiful waters of Port Macquarie. Something about that place has clearly captured the young captain's heart!

Bunnings Sausage Sizzle – This Sunday! Come join us this Sunday, 23rd August 2026, at Bunnings Port Macquarie for a classic Aussie sausage sizzle – but this time, it's for a great local cause!

The Mid North Coast Maritime Museum has stood as a proud keeper of our region's rich seafaring history – from early coastal trade and shipwrecks to the brave crews who navigated these waters long before modern technology. Maintaining and preserving this treasure trove of artefacts, documents, and maritime heritage takes ongoing effort and community support.

That's why we're firing up the grill this Sunday – every sausage sold helps fund vital upkeep, conservation work, and educational programs at the museum. So grab a snag, soak up the community spirit, and help us keep our local maritime history afloat!

A huge thank you to Jake Pinkstone and the team at PYNX - Cranes & Rigging for their professional crane services in helping us install our Flag Post and Sign Post – it was flawlessly done!

We'd love to see everyone – tour groups, local SCHOOLS, and families – come and explore the Maritime Museum in PMQ. With new fences, a fresh coat of paint, and loads of local history on display, there's always something new to discover.
