🐝 Busy as bees at this week's Working Bee! Thank you Team😍😍 Our dedicated team was hard at work raising the fence, painting and removing a tree stump to make room for something big coming soonβ€”plus our regular maintenance on this historic property. Still lots to do!!

βš“ But we NEED your help! As a group of mostly volunteers, we admit we’re "aging" and would love some new, young blood to help carry the torch. Help us preserve this piece of Australian history for future generations.

Look who sailed in recently! βš“οΈ Captain Ethan and his mum came by for information on the SS Wotonga, the historic A.S.N. Co. steamer lost near Tacking Point in 1882. We love seeing the next generation of maritime enthusiasts. How cute is this?

Thanks Mom for photo opportunity. Much appreciated..../###

We were delighted to welcome students from St Columba / Columba Cottage Early Learning Centre to the Mid North Coast Maritime Museum last week!

The children had an amazing time exploring maritime historyβ€”asking brilliant questions about our historic cottages, local shipwrecks, Wollongbar II, various ships and even the Titanic! πŸ˜„β›΅ It was wonderful to see their curiosity come alive as they discovered Australia's rich coastal heritage.

We offer special group tours for schools and community groups, providing a fun and educational day out that supports the preservation of our local maritime history. It’s a wonderful way for students to connect with Australia's past while helping keep the museum thriving.

πŸ“§ To book a group tour, please email: [email protected]
🌐 Or visit our website for more details.

We look forward to welcoming more young explorers soon!
