PORT MAC Roundabouts

PORT MAC Roundabouts The Hospital & Lake Road roundabouts congestion scandal is a major impediment to local productivity.

This page aims to collect relevant experiences, as a central communications hub for logging accidents, near-misses, incidents, effects on PMBH staff, etc.

Let's expand this page by telling friends about it! I'm pleased my agitation of this issue a week ago, last Wednesday evening, has finally brought some action (words only, actually, so far) from the council - which. has. a. role. in. this. (Pls don't start on which arm of govt is responsible! That argument is dead and buried.) Thanks to the 100s of supporters of my post on Noticeboard the council seems to have got it through its skull that we need action NOW, not more plans, talks, excuses. OR it has been prompted into seeming to pick up the issue thanks to a number of uncomfortable comments responding to my Wednesday post. This earned me a ban from Noticeboard - couldn't be happier if that's their level of comprehension of what a community noticeboard should be about. The truth hurt someone? * Firm opinions should be aired, not intimidated into hiding.
* We need posts here of your delays (half hour from Clifton junction; 25 mins from Ruins Way to CBD, etc) emergencies, accidents, instances of elderly blocked from their homes in Highfields, hospital staff stuck in a line way back to the main hospital entry, barging in to Coles roundabout from Major Innes, Sherwood blockades, aggressive failure to merge ... to paint a picture for authorities of how bad it is. Today Ch7 finally got footage in the typical daily jam -- pity it didn't happen in time to show Leslie how bad it is.

My recent post on Noticeboard about traffic gridlock elicited some 360+ responses in about 7+ hours. There were a lot of constructive comments about *how to solve* the problem, and a relevant contact provided for Transport for NSW. Hard to believe but all those people's comments, info and likes have been censored - deleted - by the page (SHAME) and me banned ... goodness knows why. I can only think some guilty toes were stepped on, and so residents have been muzzled.
If you can post here re delays, etc, it will create a useful log. Also, the jam on HR Drive today, and similar, is relevant because of the lack of an alternative route via the roundabouts.
Without a lot of time to devote to this page, I'm hoping it might build a good picture of the problems, reaching residents by word of mouth.

Here is the link to make your complaint about the Hospital and Lake Road roundabouts. It's been pre-filled to save time BUT if you wish you can enter your own constructive comments in that section. Don't be petty: it is being gathered by our elected rep and federal Member of Parliament. A bulk number of submissions by him can help make an impression on authorities to provide a grant for works at the sites.

WE need a central spot to gather information related to the HOSPITAL (Wright's Rd) and LAKE Road ROUNDABOUTS. The creation of this page is prompted by the Liberal Party today illegally using a traffic sign on the eastwards exit from Bunnings to say: Vote Liberal if you want the roundabouts fixed!!! OMG!! This dishonesty of course adds insult to injury in that zero effecting a fix has been done by Leslie Williams over the past three years!
BUT: the aim is to avoid political commentary from here on - while calling out illegal signage, and posting incidents, accidents, DELAYS, and other relevant info to form a log of what goes on at the roundabouts --- (because the Liberals certainly haven't got a clue).
* This collective might ultimately be of use to anyone genuinely keen to fix the imbroglio. LET'S GET INFO POSTED HERE.
Abusive/hair-brained, sniping and idiotic troll postings will be deleted.
