Diamonds 'n Denim Linedancers is a mainstream group, catering for brand new beginners to intermediate. Linedancing is dancing to choreographed steps. You have to think about what you're doing; guaranteed you'll have fun while you're doing it. Linedancing is individuals dancing without physical contact, so you don't need a partner. The idea is to all move in the same direction at the same time, whi
le dancing the same steps. You need to be able to laugh at yourself if you don't quite get it right (and you won't at first). Your instructor, Di Andrews, has been line dancing for 28 years and teaching as Diamonds 'n Denim Linedancers for over 20 of those. Di was on the competition circuit gaining medals and trophies, many of them 1st place. These days, it's all about fun and friendship with a great bunch of friends, new and old. What are you doing on Monday, busy? Pity, what about Tuesday? Come along and check us out. We have some people who have been dancing for years who dance only the first easy session; harder stuff is not for everyone. Others move quickly through the ranks and dance anything and everything new. Do yourself a favour and give it a try. Linedancing is for all ages; many dancers are over 80. Linedancing is not just for seniors however; check out YouTube there's a whole new generation of young people who have discovered linedancing and all it offers.
