🇦🇺 HAPPY KING’S BIRTHDAY 🇦🇺

Today, we recognise and celebrate the official birthday of His Majesty King Charles III, King of Australia.

We reflect on the values of duty, service, leadership, and loyalty that have long been associated with military service to Crown and our Commonwealth, and the King’s personal commitment to youth development.

We wish all members of the Australian Army Cadets family and wider community a safe and enjoyable public holiday.

From the 15th - 17th of April, Cadets from the 208 Hastings Valley Army Cadet Unit, participated in Exercise Lost Patrol. The Cadets participated in a variety of lessons and activities that helped them hone their skills in the field, some of the activities included Navigation, Radio Communication, Camouflage and Concealment Patrolling and First Aid, They put these skills into practice for a search and rescue scenario.

Meanwhile our new recruits conducted their field phase of the recruit course learning basic field skills such as, creating and fixing shelters, basic first aid and Radio communications.

For many of these recurits it was their first camp which is a crucial stepping stone in their Cadet career.

We would love to give a huge thank you to the ACS who help run the Activities and keep everyone safe.
