We are thrilled for the Kempsey community that the Dance section of the Eisteddfod is returning to Kempsey at its newly renovated venue after several years in Port Macquarie. While it has been convenient for local performers in Port Macquarie, it’s time for us to rally together and support Kempsey in welcoming everyone back to its home stage. It’s heartwarming to see it back where it belongs. We encourage everyone to lend their support to this beloved event, which has been serving the Macleay Valley since 1905. Let’s celebrate the spirit of community and help keep the Dance Eisteddfod thriving in Kempsey!
Eisteddfods are about community. They focus not just on financial gain but on fostering connections and celebrating the talents of our local performers.
Community members organise Eisteddfods to promote the arts and inclusivity. Local volunteers play a crucial role in these events, finding a sense of belonging and pride in their contributions. They create a platform for local talent to showcase their skills.
While Eisteddfods can boost local economies by attracting visitors to the host town, the true essence lies in the relationships they build and the community spirit they instil. Let’s come together and support our neighbours, Kempsey and the surrounding areas.
We are fortunate to have so many opportunities to enter Eisteddfods on the North Coast, with dates spread throughout the year, offering something for everyone.
