Another Saturday morning, another successful parkrun. Congratulations to everybody who walked or ran their way to another result.

****** Volunteers required ******

Following some late withdrawals, we are in urgent need of a couple of volunteers for parkrun this morning. In particular, a timekeeper is required for the event to take place.

If you are able to help, please see me before the start at the skate park.

Hi fellow parkrunners.

To enable this coming Saturday's parkrun to take place we are in need of a couple more volunteers:

One timekeeper - essential if you want your time recorded
One marshal - helping keep everybody safe on course, especially important if we have as many people participating as we did last week.

385 participants completed Port Macquarie parkrun #503 this morning. Conditions were perfect, with the best of Port Macquarie weather on show for the long weekend!

Unfortunately, we also received several complaints about participant behaviour today. Two important reminders:

🚶 Please respect all path users.
Our course has narrow sections along the break-wall and heading south towards Salty Crew Kiosk. We share these paths with the public. It is never acceptable to tell someone to “get out of the way”. Please slow down when needed, give others space and be courteous.

🐕 Please keep your dog under control.
If you take part with your furry friend, they must be on a short, handheld lead and under control at all times. An incident today involving a dog and another participant highlighted why this matters.

Thank you for helping keep parkrun safe, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone—including those sharing the paths.

Our actions can change someone else’s day—for better or worse. A little patience, courtesy and kindness can make all the difference. Let’s make sure the impression we leave is a positive one.

Attention all runners, walkers and caffeine-dependent volunteers…

It has been TWO. WHOLE. MONTHS since we last had our beloved post-parkrun coffee 😱
We repeat… TWO MONTHS!!!

The withdrawal has been REAL...
The good news? We only have 4 more weeks to survive until Cassearas Bakery finally opens its doors!

BUT… we have an emergency plan. 🚨
☕ MAD Coffee Van is coming to parkrun! They will be keeping us caffeinated, functioning and hopefully socially acceptable on Saturday mornings 😉

So come along, get your 5km done, cheer on your fellow parkrunners, volunteer… and then GET YOUR COFFEE FIX! ☕❤️
