XP Connect Australia
Helping Children Build Friendships, Confidence and Social Skills Through Safe Online Connection
XP Connect is an innovative online social support service designed specifically for children aged 5–12 years who experience social isolation, autism-related social challenges, anxiety, or difficulties engaging with traditional community participation programs.
Many children on the autism spectrum genuinely want friendships and social connection but may struggle with face-to-face social environments, unfamiliar support workers, busy community settings, or structured social groups. As a result, families often find themselves paying for supports that children are unwilling to attend or engage with.
XP Connect meets children where they are most comfortable.
Using safe, supervised online environments and age appropriate multiplayer games, our trained facilitators help children connect with peers, develop friendships, practice communication skills, improve confidence, and participate in meaningful social interactions from the comfort and safety of their own homes.
Why XP Connect Works
Many children who refuse traditional supports will willingly engage online.
By leveraging a child’s existing interests, particularly gaming and digital interaction, XP Connect creates natural opportunities for:
• Social interaction
• Friendship building
• Communication development
• Teamwork and cooperation
• Emotional regulation practice
• Confidence building
• Turn-taking and problem solving
• Community participation
• Reduced social isolation
Rather than forcing children into environments they find overwhelming, XP Connect creates a bridge between their interests and meaningful social development.
How Sessions Work
Children participate in scheduled online sessions facilitated by experienced support staff.
Activities may include:
• Cooperative gaming experiences
• Team challenges
• Guided social interaction activities
• Communication-focused games
• Friendship-building exercises
• Group participation experiences
• Supported online social engagement
Sessions are tailored to each participant’s individual needs, goals, interests, support requirements, and developmental level.
