📢 Community Yarn & Learn Session 🗳️🎨

Come and join us next Tuesday, 19 May from 12:30pm – 2:00pm for a relaxed and informative community session with Fiona from the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

We’ll be having a yarn about all things voting — how it works, why it matters, and answering any questions you may have in a friendly and welcoming space.
There will also be a craft activity, lunch provided, and a chance to unwind, connect, and enjoy some community time together.

✨ Enjoy a nice lunch
✨ Learn a bit about voting
✨ Relax with a fun craft session
Everyone is welcome — we’d love to see you there!

A great day with our men’s workshop today- coming together to do some woodwork, yarn, connect and support one another. Strong conversations, good laughs and deadly company.
This session was proudly supported by the Australian Electoral Commission, supporting community to stay informed and have their say.

STAY ENROLLED. STAY HEARD. 🗳️✊🏽

If you’re an eligible Australian citizen aged 18 or over, enrolling and voting is compulsory.
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) helps keep enrolment details up to date through the Federal Direct Enrolment and Update program (FDEU).
That means if you move house or haven’t enrolled yet, the AEC may securely use information from trusted government agencies to help update your details or enrol you automatically.
Keeping your enrolment up to date means you can have your say on the issues that affect our families, communities and future.

If you receive a letter or email from the AEC and you’re unsure if it’s real, contact the AEC on 13 23 26 or visit:

📢 **What is FDEU?**

The Federal Direct Enrolment and Update (FDEU) program is run by the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) to help keep the electoral roll accurate and up to date.

Instead of relying on people to enrol themselves, the AEC can use information from other government agencies to:
✔️ Add eligible people to the electoral roll
✔️ Update details like your address if they’ve changed

You’ll be notified before any changes are made and given time to check or correct your information.

FDEU helps make sure everyone who is eligible can have their say in elections.
