Before such a system is expanded or made compulsory, Australians deserve clear, public answers about how this program will impact our privacy, data security, and personal freedoms.

1. Privacy and Security Impact Assessments
• Has a full Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and Security Risk Assessment been completed?
• Will the full reports (not summaries) be released for public and independent review?
• Which organisations or consultants conducted these assessments? Were they independent of government and corporate influence?
2. Data Contracts and Control
• Who currently holds the contracts for the storage, management, and verification of Digital ID data?
• Are any private or foreign-owned companies involved in the system’s infrastructure or data access?
• Who will have legal ownership and ultimate control over Australians’ personal information?
3. Oversight, Opt-Out, and Accountability
• What independent oversight body will ensure transparency, prevent data misuse, and respond to breaches?
• Will Australians be guaranteed the right to opt out of Digital ID participation without losing access to essential services?
• How will citizens be notified and compensated in the event of a data breach?
The Digital ID system has the potential to significantly alter how we interact with government and private services. As such, every Australian has a right to understand who controls our data, how it is protected, and what safeguards exist before this system is expanded further.
Please treat this request as a matter of public importance and provide detailed answers or direct links to the relevant assessments and contracts.
