Author Event with Graham Meyers

Join us at the Port MacDonnell Community Complex for a special author event with local author Graham Meyers, featuring his novel A Shore Seldom Trod.

Set in South Australia in 1874, the novel follows policeman Rem Wayborn as he investigates mysterious stock killings, uncovering a much darker story of human involvement, murder and his own troubled past.

We had a great turn out for Story Time this week!

Our theme for this week was focused on some incredible sea creatures! 🦈🐋🦐

We read "Australia Under the Sea 1, 2, 3" which led to a lot of pointing out different animals and doing lots of counting!

Then we sung along and danced to some of our favourite songs. 💃🎶🕺

Finally, we moved over to the craft tables and got to work decorating our own turtles with stamps, textas, and stickers. 🐢🎨

Do you want to learn about helpful apps for your smart device?

Join us on Tuesday September 15 at 2:30pm at the Port MacDonnell Community Complex for a hot drink and biscuit while we watch a live online Be Connected presentation together.

This presentation will cover the basics of the applications and programs you use on your smart phones to get things done, including where and how to download apps, which apps may be helpful or interesting, and tips about managing your apps.

This free session for older Australians is hosted by the eSafety Commissioner and introduces the Be Connected website, along with a wide range of simple, practical topics to help you feel more comfortable using your phone, tablet or other devices.

Council staff will be there to watch alongside you, chat through the ideas, and help answer questions in a relaxed, friendly environment.
