You’ll learn everything from preparing your design to creating loads of beautiful prints, with or without a printing press. Perfect for beginners, and all materials are supplied.

We had a fantastic time at the Nature Festival workshop run by our talented EAA member Sandy Harder ! Participants used plant materials and mixed media to make these beautiful nature-inspired monoprints... all finished off with their own frame.

We're so grateful to Nature Festival for providing a micro-grant which allowed us to run this fun and affordable workshop series :)

How's this for some fabulous colour!!

Many of our members (as well as some new faces) joined local artist Beth Hammond in "Shadow Impressions", one in our series of five fantastic Nature Festival workshops. Beth showed participants how to draw and paint from the cast shadows of local collected foliage, and then how to apply bold colour to create these stunning still life artworks.

We are SO excited about this one… join visiting artist Zinta Zvaigzne for a fun day of fabric printing!

Learn to create nature-inspired artwork by transferring the natural dyes and patterns from leaves, flowers and other botanicals onto fabric using a process of boiling. There will be a 2 hour break for lunch whilst the boiling process takes place, then we will reconvene to unwrap and reveal our artwork!

Get on board for more pottery fun with another Eyre Arts Action / Nature Festival workshop…

Join local potter Sarah Wormald from EP Coastal Creations to create your own uniquely decorated clay plate. You will roll out your plate, have the option to imprint or texturize it, and then creatively underglaze paint it. Following the workshop, Sarah will bisque fire and clear glaze the plates for collection within 2-3 weeks.

Join local ceramicist Helen Keefe to decorate a preformed, leather-hard plate by applying underglazes, then scratching through the top surface to reveal lower layers of contrasting colour. Following the workshop your plate will be clear glazed and bisque fired... and you’ll have your own stunning hand-crafted plate!
