Notice of General Meeting:
Wednesday 23 October 2024 at 7.30pm
Port Germein Community Hub
(Old School Karpfanger St)

The Corporate Affairs Commission has requested a further General Meeting be held to facilitate the Port Germein Progress Association continuing to operate.
Anyone who has an interest in the Port Germain community is encouraged to attend and sign up for membership. You must be a member in order to vote and nominate for committee.
The meeting will be chaired by Zoe Thomas, Delegate of the Corporate Affairs Commission who has experience in chairing AGMs/SGMs for incorporated associations who require additional governance support. A member of SA Police will also be attending to ensure the safety of all persons present.
Ms Thomas holds delegations under the Associations Incorporation Act 1985 to grant any necessary exemptions from the Act or Rules to ensure that the outcome that is in the best interests of the association and its members can be achieved, subject to the willingness of community members to participate in the future of the association.
All committee positions will be declared vacant and nominations for the committee positions will be accepted from the floor. Current committee members may re-nominate for election to the committee. Voting for each position will be by secret ballot.
Proxy voting will be permitted provided membership of the proxy is confirmed to the satisfaction of the Commission. If you require a proxy voting form or membership form, please email [email protected]
If a committee cannot be elected, the association will be considered defunct and will need to be wound up.

Port Germein Community Garden gathering this Sunday 9-12. We will be planting Quondongs in the Forest Garden at the Port Germein Community Hub. There are already some there and we will be adding in some more and host plants too.
If you'd like to join us, please come along.
The Community Garden has undergone some fabulous improvements lately thanks to some new and renewed support. We always have a lovely time with a cuppa, friendly collaboration and a job well done.
The Op Shop will be open and the bookshop too (in the little ex art/woodworking room where you can browse and make a donation if you want to take some books, magazines etc)

And that means its Community Garden Sunday
at the Port Germein Community Hub (Karpfanger St, Port Germein)
From 9am this Sunday morning (June 2nd)
our dedicated gardening devotees will be in the community garden
enjoying a morning of tending the garden & if you’re lucky, enjoying coffee/tea and cake!
one is welcome to call in on Sunday morning.

We will have our Library open for
Second Hand Book sales.
