Port Fairy Repair Café is a free monthly community event to repair, renew and reuse items of clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, etc. Our volunteers have range repair skills and we promote a circular economy.

It's time!

You are invited to our June fixing event this Saturday 20th June 10am-12pm.

So if you have:

🔧 An appliance that has mysteriously stopped working

📿 Beads or necklace that needs a new clasp

🧵 A much-loved item of clothing that's too good (or precious) that needs to some attention

💡 Something electrical

🚲 Something mechanical or a bike

❤️ And other general household items

Come along on Saturday morning - our volunteer repairers will once again be putting their skills to the test.

Thank you to everyone who made yesterday another fantastic fix it event.

We are so grateful for the amazing skills, knowledge and generosity shared by our volunteer crew.

Please join us this Saturday 16th May at the Port Fairy Repair Cafe, 10am-12pm.

Dig out those wonky, broken or not quite right items from the shelves, shed or cupboards and give them a second lease on life.

We absolutely LOVE fixing stuff, and passing on repairing skills and knowledge to others. Plus, it's FREE and you can have a cuppa and piece of cake whilst you are there.

Another fabulous event today, with a fixing bonanza! Many thanks to our wonderful, talented fixing crew:
Jenny, Bari, Tess, Rod, Nick, Lynda, Ruth, Ben, Belinda and Natasha.

Lots of wonderful clothing and jewellery fixes, as well as a lamp, kitchen aid, radio, baby scales and gardening tool sharpening.

YOU are invited to join us this Saturday 18th April at the Port Fairy Repair Cafe, 10am-12pm.

Dig out those broken or not quite right/not working items from the back of drawers, cupboards, shed or garage and give them a second chance.

We LOVE fixing stuff, and passing on repairing skills and knowledge to others. Plus, it's FREE and you can have a cuppa and piece of cake whilst you are there.

We had a fabulous fixing frenzy yesterday!

So good to be back after our break over summer. Thank you so much to everyone who came to visit.

Lots of great fixing including bracelets, ear rings, necklaces, jeans & shirt, pjs, chair, wheelbarrow, lamps, toaster, handbag, sprinkler and many more.

Also great to have volunteer fixer Kate join us with her 3D printer, amazing skills and huge stash of tools/gear.

🛠 Port Fairy Repair Café – First Event for 2026!

Got something that’s 'not quite right' or needs fixing? Bring it along and give it a second life 💚

Our skilled volunteers are ready to help with all sorts of repairs — and yes, we love a challenge!

Fixes available to book include:
📿 Jewellery – missing clasps, bent earrings
👗 Clothing & textiles – hems, repairs, those fiddly sewing jobs
🔌 Electrical items – lamps, stereos, mix masters and more
⚙️ Mechanical items – mowers, sprinklers, small gadgets
🪑 General & wooden household items – gluing, tightening, furniture TLC

Come along for a fix, a chat, a cuppa and cake - all while helping keep good stuff out of landfill.

✨ What a year it has been at the Port Fairy Repair Café! ✨

As we wrap up the year, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s been part of our Repair Café in 2025 — our hugely talented and generous volunteer fixers, curious learners, all our wonderful visitors, and the quiet legends who make the kettle boil and the conversations flow.

This year has been about more than fixing things. It’s been about kindness, sharing skills, swapping stories, learning together, and choosing repair over waste — one item and one cuppa at a time.

The numbers tell part of the story, but the real win is the community spirit behind them.

Wishing you all a joyful festive season and a gentle start to the new year.

We’ll be back in 2026, ready to mend more, waste less, and keep good things going. 💚🔧

Last event for the year! It was all about clothing and jewellery fixes. Some very special sentimental items were given the royal treatment by our awesome team.

So many smiles, great cake and slices, awesome conversations and excellent fixing skills.
