As we roll into ANZAC week with:
* the Victor Harbor march on Sunday,
* hosting a memorial service at Port Elliot Resthaven on Monday,
* operating an ANZAC Appeal table at Coles McCracken on Tuesday through to Friday,
* Dawn Service on Saturday the 25th and
culminating with our usual good old fashioned reunion BBQ, bevvies, some two-up and AFL football on Saturday afternoon,
we need to be mindful of what it's all about.

The film, "Under a Bamboo Sky" will be showing at the Victa Cinema, Apr 19 at 2:00 pm..

On invitation from our good mates and comrades at Victor Harbour, Port Elliot Service Members, Affiliates and friends will be marching or attending at the Victor Harbour ANZAC March this Sunday, the 19th. C'mon all - let's make sure the Port Elliot contingent is well represented. 😃

The PORT ELLIOT ANZAC DAWN SERVICE will take place ON SAT 25 APR, starting at 06:00 am sharp, on The Strand, Port Elliot...

The PORT ELLIOT ANZAC DAWN SERVICE will take place ON SAT 25 APR, starting at 06:00 am sharp, on The Strand, Port Elliot. We will gather on The Strand roadway in front of the Cenotaph next to the old Council Chambers, just over the railway crossing. Limited seating and standing space is also available on the grass area behind the Cenotaph.

The Strand will be blocked to through traffic from about 5:30 am until about 7:30 am. Nearby street parking is usually OK but please do not obstruct private driveways. Please leave limited seating available for elderly guests or those with disabilities. As it will take place before dawn, please bring a torch or use your phone torch to help avoid trip hazards in the dark.

Our EXTRAORDINARILY GOOD 'Gunfire' BBQ breakfast by donation will be available at the RSL Hall across the road after the Dawn Service. As we can never be sure of numbers, be early in the line up. It is all run by our small group of volunteers. Be patient, we will try to cater for all but it is a guessing game.

Our FAMOUS TRADITIONAL ANZAC Day AFTERNOON BBQ starts at 1:00 pm at the RSL Hall grounds, with refreshments (licensed bar), raffles and two-up. Our Vets will be more than happy to invite you to "Come in 'Spinner' ", and show you 'the ropes' if you have never played before. (Its a lot of good fun.)

As we are a registered NFP Charity, all proceeds go to LOCAL VETS care, well-being and support, and LOCAL Commemoration and Preservation of our MILITARY HISTORY & SERVICE TO THE NATION.
WE SURE HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US ON THE DAY - WELL LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE. (And if you see a veteran, introduce yourself, say 'hello' and we especially encourage our younger generations to strike up a conversation. Don't be shy.) 😃
