🌟 EXCELLENCE IN COMMUNITY SERVICE — ANDERSON DANCERS

Anderson Dancers is the proud winner of the Access Training Centre Excellence in Community Service by a Volunteer Group Award.

Established by Ethel Anderson OAM and Greg Faulkner, Anderson Dancers and the Theatre Promoters Inc have supported Port Augusta through dance, theatre and community involvement for more than 30 years.

Since 1993, their dedicated volunteers have helped transform and operate the Lea Memorial Theatre, giving their time to technical operations, maintenance, front-of-house, backstage support, event preparation and administration.

Their contribution keeps this important community space available for performances, celebrations, school events and local gatherings.

Congratulations to everyone involved with Anderson Dancers on this well-deserved recognition!

A PROUD MOMENT FOR ANDERSON DANCERS!
On October 16th, we were incredibly honoured to receive the Access Training Centre Award for Excellence in Community Service by a Volunteer Group at the Business Port Augusta dinner.

For 57 years, Anderson Dancers has been creating opportunities, building confidence, forming friendships and bringing our community together through dance, theatre and entertainment.

Our commitment extends beyond the dance studio to our annual pantomime and the Lea Memorial Theatre, which has been at the heart of our community since 1993. With the incredible support of local businesses and our community, we have raised $43,180 in just the past three years towards new theatre seating and lighting projects and that’s on top of all the other fundraising we do to keep our dancers, pantomime and theatre running.

Our volunteers give their time, skills and energy to teaching dance, producing pantomimes and keeping the theatre operating. They do it all for the love of our community, ensuring local performers, schools and community groups have opportunities to shine right here in Port Augusta.

This award belongs to every volunteer, dancer, performer, family member, supporter and community member who has been part of our journey.

We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together and sincerely thank Access Training Centre and Business Port Augusta for this wonderful recognition.

Here's to continuing to make a difference in our community for many years to come!

Congratulations to the finalists in the Access Training Centre Excellence in Community Service Award, part of the 2025–2026 Rowe Partners Port Augusta Outstanding Business Awards! 🎉

Thank you to every volunteer group that took the time to submit an entry and share the valuable work they do in our community.

Our Awards Extravaganza will be held on Friday 16 October and we look forward to celebrating the success of all our finalists.
