We are looking for local people keen to work casually at Arabana House in Port Augusta.

We’re looking for people to help support general office duties, manning the reception desk, answering phones, replying to emails, calling community members to coordinate jobs, organise newsletters and mail outs and various other ad-hoc Corporation tasks.

Hours and days are flexible.
Must be reliable.

Attention AAC Members and Common Law Holders!

Just a reminder that we need your Native Title Mining Agreement (NTMA) and Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) postal vote returned to Gateway Advisory by 3 July 2026.

The postal vote is about seeking authorisation by a postal ballot for the Arabana Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC enter into:

-A Part 9B NTMA for Exploration with Wilan Resources Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Aruma Resources Ltd;

-A Part 9B NTMA for Exploration with Smooth Bore Resources Pty Ltd; and

-An ILUA under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) with:
Criptid Clean Energy Pty Ltd;
Gehyra Holdings Pty Ltd;
Gehyra Exploration Pty Ltd.
(collectively owned by Gehyra Energy Pty Ltd). Please note they were previously known as Gehyra Flux.

If you are a Common Law Holder and haven’t yet received the NTMA and ILUA postal vote please notify the office so that we can get one out to you asap.

You can return your ballot in the enclosed envelope OR email a copy of your ballot to [email protected].

If you are returning your vote by mail, please make sure you leave enough time so we receive it back in Adelaide at Gateway Advisory by 3 July 2026.

The Arabana Ranger Team is Hiring - positions available in the Men's and Women's Ranger Program!

You will work across Arabana Country playing a vital role in protecting and preserving the natural environment and culturally significant sites, ensuring Arabana heritage is preserved for future generations.

Rangers also play a significant role in cultural knowledge sharing, community engagement, youth engagement and language program support.

Based in Port Augusta, with regular work on Arabana Country

Key Responsibilities:
-Work as an active member of the Arabana Ranger Team to deliver outcomes aligned with our Healthy Country Plan
-Collaborate with conservation groups on joint management activities to protect and preserve our Country
-Support the recording of traditional ecological and cultural knowledge in line with our work plans and Traditional Owner expectations.
-Engage with Elders and Traditional Owners to support program outcomes

Essential Requirements:
-Identify as Arabana
-Hold a Class C Driver’s Licence

While we will give a proper introduction soon in our newsletter and on our social platforms, we would like to welcome Nataline, Khiaecia and Pauline to the Port Augusta office.

As we work toward once again being open Monday-Friday 10am-4pm, we do still have some onboarding, training and travel to do over the coming weeks as well as working around staff annual leave.

This week we will have some irregular office hours due to these factors:
Monday we will be open 10am-4pm
Tuesday we will be open 10am-4pm
Wednesday we will be open 10am-3pm
Thursday we will be open 10am-4pm
Friday we will be open 2pm-4pm
